Btw Ligustah, you just said that there were no convincing arguments about employing new supporters. I would like to suggest a tryout with an additional supporter and then see how it is going. Maybe for one or two weeks and then you could still say that we are in no need of additional help. Please tell me what you think about it.

Please tell me. I'm always trying to stay objective about things, if you feel anything of that is offensive to anyone I'd love to know. It's certainly not our intention to discriminate anyone.

Anyone is free to have an opinion of his own, and I honestly can't see where I claim anything different. Just like you, I do have an opinion of my own, and my posts reflect that. I'm not even claiming to be right with everything, I'm trying to have an objective discussion and - correct me if I am wrong - I took the time to address all points that were made, but often times people just pick a few arguments of mine and attempt to counter them. That's not how discussing works, in my very opinion. I do expect people who want to participate in any such discussion to adhere to the same objective form of discussion, which unfortunately isn't always the case. Just like you may find my wording offensive, I personally am very much offended by people, who post obviously incorrect information and stir up discussions over problems that do not exist. It's not very nice to look into people's suggestions, think about them and talk about them, when the only thing I get back is just an endless repetition of the same - objectively - wrong arguments by people who never even bothered contacting the support.

I think that may come across as being disrespectful of other people's opinions, but that's really not my intention. If anything of what I said so far doesn't reflect the real state of affairs, I'd be glad to be corrected anytime.

We are listening, definitely. But the crowd is apparently uninformed, because none of the reasons that were brought up have ever been backed with any sort of factual data. We do appreciate and encourage participation, but we'll also make sure that no decisions are rushed just because a few people think it's good. What you're calling the crowd are in fact only around 10 people, if you see this thread.

We ban for violations of our ruleset. We don't promote members to supremes because they have two or three friends rooting for them.

We are indeed considering appointing a new supporter, but none of the argument brought up in this thread have changed anything about the direction of our decision making.

Pps: As mentioned earlier we cannot and will not consider arguments by people who are not even using the system as it is intended. If you don't like the system as a whole, feel free to make suggestions for improvements around it.

Those are few fragments, I get what you are talking about, with some parts of your post I agree, but I still think we need one more supporter on forum. And now, let me say what people may think about those parts you can see above.

I did not say I get it like this, but thats pretty much how you can get that message, Ligustah. Reading your post I just do not see WHY you are so against it it's better to have 2/3 supporters with no work than 1 that sometimes miss things so mess tay for few days.

Do not be mad Tech, I do thing you are great and doing a great job.

Want evidence? Neustra few days ago was spaming whole forum for 2 days straight, and his posts stayed longer than it should be. I was told, that people sometimes wait days before someone is putted to HA group for their server.

And this whole topic is saying that people thinks something is wrong, maybe a part of them. Poll is now at 15-2.

Like I said Ligustah, I DID NOT took your post like this, I am saying that your post sounds like it have a second meaning, and it sounds like this, but it might have been an accident. ^^

I haven't read all the things before my post! I will after I post. I don't see a need for a new supporter at the moment! I believe I'm doing very well!
Main reasons
We already have two Myself & iTim ( inactive but still helpful ) And myself I check forums everyday! We don't get too many support tickets and everything seems to be clear on forums! Seems like a call for power if you ask meh! Getting a new supporter would be very pointless at this time! Maybe in the future things would change! But I believe I have my hands on things! Thanks

A call for power? Seriously? How is me suggesting that we need a new supporter on the forums a call for power? You're being ridiculous, no offense.

Also just because I don't use the ticket system doesn't mean I don't know that the forums aren't being run smoothly.

All of the current supporters are inactive from my pov, and I've requested some things to be done the past few days and they still aren't done.

I'd just like to see the forum ran a bit smoother.

Like I said, I've never seen a ticket from you! nor have I EVER got an request asking for something to be done or changed via forums! So what are these obstacles you seem to have with the forums not being ran smoothly! ? I'll wait!!

The core of what Tech is asking for is the same that was the essence of Ligs+my posts:

Another supporter?
1. Is it really a supporter you are looking for or a regulator, or even something entirlely different like someone to take care of shoutbox reports? (make sure to inform yourselves about the tasks of each)
2. If it is a supporter (meaning, someone who takes care of tickets in the help center) that you think we need, why do we need one? ( You say forum needs to be smoother/is a mess, things are not done fast enough, tickets closed without things being done etc. --> proof, explain to us what exactly bothers you and show it to us)
3. If you have a certain person in mind, tell us why you think he/she is the right choice (online enough? knows enough about the technical side of a forum? doesnt have too much other work to do (rl, ingame, forum etc.) and so on)

Just speaking as me, the 21y old female being that does not care too much about maybe offending people with my opinion:
Out of all the posts I have seen in this thread there are just a few I would want to take as an actual post with arguments and reasons for this matter.

Chris: Supporters inactive + things are not done --> We have proof that at least Tech is active and Chris doesnt even use the ticket system, no wonder why things are not done
Imma, Narko, Mette: Yelling a name in the void is not a valid argument
Dukajek: Calling the forum a big mess --> What exactly is the problem and is there any proof?
Cross, Sky, Maths, Puitje and Snacky, Cross and Dukajek again: Not too much related to the core discussion, so I dont count them in (but theyre ofc important when it comes to suggesting 2 rather than 1 spot etc .)
Chris: PMing supporters and requesting bans in shoutbox --> Nothing that would fall under the task of a supporter anyway, so no reason to have another one
Cross: 3 days being too long --> as explained before and aswell after that post, 3 days were the longest possible period that I could guess, since I looked at an already closed ticket 3 days after it was posted. Idk when exactly it was solved. I however DO know that there are tickets I can see the time they got closed (considering the timestamp of the comment on the ticket) and those only took timespans of a few hours, one day, half an hour, 1 hour, 13 minutes, 3 hours, 46 minutes, 1 hour and 7 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 and a half hours, 6 hours (nighttime), 3 minutes, 4 minutes, ..... I could go on like this for a while, and these were just a few of the tickets from the last 2 months.
Chris: Naming Itim as inactive + saying Snacky told him tickets got closed without working on them --> even though it is true that Itim is inactive, i do not see why that equals the need for another supporter if Technine does the job well enough alone + no proof for Snackys ticket-matter
Sky: can not have enough supporters + 2 days are too long --> both does have a point, but was explained above (time it takes to solve a ticket) and the supporter amount is another subject to talk about (amount possible vs. need)
Smack, Chris: nothing too much in the discussion
Cross: itim not unrelated --> see above, difference between the need of another supporter and the appearance of inactive supporters together with one active supp who does all the work
Sky, Cross: listen to the crowd + majority + democracy + tech being afk --> while I do see the point in tech being afk and 2 active supporters being a good thing, I was between peeing myself from laughter and being kinda hurt/angry about the democracy/crowd thing. First of all 10-15 people are not a crowd, we have about 100 active members. But moreover the call for democracy is kinda hilarious. We all know twc is a very "democratic" clan if you can call any clan that. Probably more than lots of other ET clans. Do you even remember the big fight about having more rights and power for the members which in the end was leading to twc being split and wos being created? A demoratic decision imo does not mean listen to the ones who yell the loudest and are the most. For me, it means doing what most people want who are educated aka. informed about the matter and know all the arguments, reasons and proof from all sides.
Thrasher, Poseidon, Andre, Poseidon again and the spam after that: more or less not into the big discussion aswell

So this was just all the things going through my (Chantals) head when reading those posts. Do with it as you like, but I would hope on you understanding that this is not what I take into consideration as MST, its just what the little me thinks and what I wnated you to know in order to understand it a bit better.
