Forum Can we please get a new supporter? (archived by NightFall)

So, there are a few things I would like to be cleared before we even think about adding a new anything, nor decide about who the person might be to fill the spot of whatever,

Chris, you said you have "requested some things to be done in the past few days". Woud you care to explain where exactly you have requested those things? I remember you sent me a pm about a new supporter like a month ago (29.06), and I also replied to it and explained our decision to you. I looked into the help center (which should be used for requests of any kind), and you did not submit any ticket about anything as far as I can tell.

Next thing is: Why exactly do you people think it is needed to have a new supporter? Whenever I take a look in the Help Center, I see tickets being dealt with fairly soon. The last ticket was submitted at the 26.07, and today (just 3 days later) it is definitely dealt with (probably even before today, cant really see when exactly the ticket was set as closed).

Also, it might be that my eyes miss something, but for me it seems the current supporters, especially Technine, do a really good job on being supporter. So before we decide anything about a new spot for supporter, I want to hear actual reasons.

tl;dr: No supporter until you give actual reasons (with proof if needed) for it.

I want a new supporter mostly because 1 active supporter isn't enough to get the job done. Look at the forums now; dejo and assblaster still aren't banned after many requests in the shoutbox. IMO atleast 3 active supporters are needed to keep the forum regulated smoothly. (does no one remember the supporter team of me, imma, and Andre? that was a good team.)

Supporters cannot see everything. Just think about the mess we had in the past before we set up a central place to gather complaints for the servers. That is why the ticket system exists. If you don't want to use it, that is really no reason for us to appoint a new supporter. I'm especially confused about you requesting a new supporter, if you aren't even using the channels that are supposed to be used with them.

It's not the supporters' job to be on servers 24/7 and read shoutbox all day long. If you are - for whatever reasons - unable to use he ticket system, you might want to contact a friend to submit tickets for you.

I see people complaining about the forum being a mess, but I don't see any tickets about it, and none of you has bothered contacting one of the forum administrators (who are ultimately in charge of banning people).

Please be more specific about the problems you see with the current support team.

Why use the ticket system when I can just message them on Steam or private message?

I never said the supporters had to be on the servers 24/7, but they should be atleast somewhat active on the forums, if not regularly. For example, iTim has been inactive for months and he is still supporter. (No offense to iTim)

Also, I've been told by Snacky that sometimes his tickets have gotten closed when nothing has actually been done.

if i may say something serious here: too many supporters is better than too few
let me correct myself, you just CAN'T have too many supporters

but on the other hand, chris you're making no sense lol, people don't always wanna do what you ask them right away, that's why people submit tickets and supporters solve them when they have got the time.

But I must say mimus, that 3 days to solve a ticket, is like 2 days too much imo, especially if it was something that could be done in few mins

Imo the supporters right now are doing their jobs well, but few more people helping out wouldn't do any harm, right?
