Computer ET doesn't work anymore

Hey guys and gals,
I recently moved from room to room in my University and now that I am in this new room, I have an ethernet cable connected, internet is on but when launching et no server show up and I get awaiting connection 1...n if I launch with bg.twcclan.org (as I am a huge Dota2 fanboy, I also came across the problem unable to ping your region fail.) No clue how to fix this...

you could try this to clean the files to get past loading screen

try with a different net (ie: use your phone as a router) and see if it works better

Seems like port related problem.
Do you have access to your router?

So I have tried sharing wifi from the ethernet to my laptop and connecting, same thing. Looked at the firewall etc...everything is allowed. Could it be that the university is blocking games such as ET and Steam games at their ISP? A buddy of mine from another residence from the uni 10 mins away can use discord play LoL etc without any issues...

I think the most simple is to do the test by yourself.
Go to your friend residence, and try to connect from his residence with your laptop

Have you tried to connect with your phone, without using the univ network, as Nirv suggested ?

Uh-oh. Don't tell me they're blocking UDP traffic...

Well it works fine on my 4g but on the uni ethernet doesn't work. Although, when I am at the library on campus I can freely play anything. So they should have the same ISP altogether for the uni. I think they might be blocking the ports.
