Solved Where are the demos ?

Hi there.

Yesterday, I made two demos while specing itachi.
But I can't find them, the demo folder is empty.

Unfortunately, ET crashed while making the first demo, that's why I made a second demo.
I can understand that the first demo would have not been recorded, but where is the second one ?

For the second demo, I started it with F12, and ended it with /stoprecord, no issues.
So, the file should be there.
But nope, empty folder !

for me, I found my demos in drive 2 (D > Wolfenstein- Enemy Territory > jaymod > demos. Not sure if you can find them in etmain folder aswell

Nah, nothing.
Nothing in nitmod folder, or etmain folder, or whatever...

To be sure, I also made a research of any dm_84 files on the whole disk, nothing was found...

A little tip for you.

Type in google « Search Everything », you’ll download a software which looks into all of your drivers for a certain name of file. The thing is, it’s very, very fast.

Just type in the demo name, you’ll find the location of it

And it worked, it found my files whereas Windows failed !

If someone else needs to search files quickly : VoidTools Everything

By the way, the demo`s are in ( in my case) C:\Users\Rinus\Documents\ETLegacy\nitmod\demos ( Rinus is my name. !! )

Well, in my case, there are two ET folders :

1. the first one is the one I did install, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory, but the demo folder is empty,
   
2. another one, that I did NOT install, is located in C:\Users\Thiery\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory, and this one has the demo files !
   

That's so weird, I never saw this : seems that Windows made its own copy of an application ?!?
There are also copies of DosBox and Heroes of Might&Magic 5 in this VirtualStore folder...
