Hey there,
On Sunday night when i was playing in ND , I suddenly got disconnect from server and it showed this msg :
"Punkbuster Client: Failed to resolve etguidauth.evenbalance.com"
Then I couldn't connect to any server at all.
I googled it but pbns.dat file which everyone was talking about was not there.
I also started ET with "Run as administrator" but still it didn't work.
I also reinstalled ET with the link which Sky gave HERE ( it is the same one which is there in our forums too) but still it didn't work.
I have W:et in my pendrive too , when i open et there i can connect to servers. But when i take that W:ET folder to my PC it doesn't work.
Currently, I am playing ET which is there in my pendrive but i get sudden lags thrice in every 5-10 mins.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me to solve this problem with Punkbuster.

I`m not that much of a technical wizard, despite the fact that I am a Wizard, but you could try this.
1. Install the game to a different Program Files than it is currently located in your computer (If Program Files x86 then -> Program Files & If it is in Program Files -> Program Files (x86)
2. Save the Etkey from old ET to your new ET`s ETmain folder
3. Save config you normally use to the new ET`s Etmain folder or (Jaymod, Etpro, Nitmod etc)->profiles->(profile name). Probably wont do harm to save it in both places.
Personally my CFG is in Etmain and also in every mods profile folders Prgrmfiles(x86)->Wolfenstein Enemy Territory-> Etmain, but also in several folders(Jaymod,Etpro,Nitmod)-> profiles->(profile name), I am not sure nor care if this is necessary to have the CFG in all mods profile folders you play, but at least it haven`t caused me any trouble.

This Pc-> Local Disc ( C: ), there I personally have Program files and Program files x86.
But just backup ur CFG and ETKEY before you fully reinstall ET to Program Files and then place them again with above instructions to the right places.
Also when you get a desktop icon for ET, Right Click It->Click Properties-> Select Compability, and there should be choice Run this Program as an Adminstrator, make sure you click the box.

If reinstalling ET doesn't fix it, try reinstalling Punkbuster too.
Also restarting your router might fix it.
More possible solutions:
https://fearless-assassins.com/topic/734...alancecom/
http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/7330...onnection/
Also if you reinstall both ET and Punkbuster, make sure that the pb folder inside ET folder gets removed too when both have been uninstalled, if not, then delete it manually.
And like others said remember to save etkey and cfg somewhere save so you can restore them after reinstall.
