Another computer, another player ? (archived by NightFall)

[LePresident]

Today I played ET with my wife's computer.

I installed ET, connected in TWC BG, and here is the drama !
This computer is not recognized as mine, so I've got to create another player profile.
And even with my TWC ingame name (-TWC|LePresident), still not recognized.

So bad, my player was quite "new" : no XP, no key map, nothing...
Since this is not my computer and I will only use it rarely to play, it's not a big trouble, but it would be nice to be able to play with my profile (XP, etc...).

Is there anything I can do ?

Did you backed up your etkey and also nkey (nitmod's etkey)?

[LePresident]

Nope.
I wasn't not aware of this, and don't know how-to

You can upload those on dropbox for example or just copy them on a USB stick

[NightFall]

You can copy the files from your own computer and place them in the same directories on your wife's computer. The maps are found in etmain and for nitmod you need an 'nkey' which is found in the nitmod subfolder of your wolfenstein install.

All right, thanx folks
