PS. Technically a recoil script is not forbidden by NoD rules:

Depends entirely how you interpret "cheat" or "hack". Recoil script requires NOTHING external to be done, it's all done by commands that anybody can write in console or a .cfg.

There was some discussion about it here: http://board.twcclan.org/thread-7198.html which is now archived, not sure If a definitive answer was reached there. I think Sky as an MST gave a reply so maybe that's the "law" then? I mean it does give somewhat of an advantage, but same could be achieved with high sens and good mouse control I guess.

So essentially same could be achieved by being good with the sniper or am I getting something wrong here?

To be entirely fair. Recoil scripts are exactly as I wrote here, scripts. They basically just move your mouse down a bunch after you shoot when turned on.

They are really damn hard to spot, even for experienced people, and to be entirely fair the Nodownload rules never mentioned any scripts in them, so the rules do need a bit of a tweak/update if you really want to forbid it (aside the point it will be a ton of discussions if it's script or skill, for example Vanhaomena back in the days was a pain to play again because of his sniping without a script which basically made it look like a script...then again, watching Reload aim was a joy to watch since it looked like he threw his mouse all over hte table and still stayed on the opponent).
