Heya,
for a really long time already our beloved Sniper server lacks activity.
We barely have any members, and even though we do have guests coming to the server almost every day, we do not seem to be able to keep them.
Lots of attempts have been made from various people to boost snipers activity, but none of them had success. This is, as we suppose to have figured out by now, because you simply can not make a server active if you are alone.
You need a certain number of regular, motivated members who will play on sniper for months - actively, not sitting in spec, playing against bots most of the time until we managed to gain enough new members and regular guests to have the server keep itself up.
Since we do not have this amount of dedicated people for sniper, we would like to, even though not without a heavy heart, close sniper.
There will always be a lot of good memories, especially for those who knew sniper when it was still active (actually, for quite some time, the most active server in TWC).
However, just because we close sniper does not mean we have to shut down the server.
In the past there have been many many suggestions for a new server, with a new mod or playstyle and whatnot.
Most of these suggestions have been turned down due to the fact that there aswell have not been enough people who DEDICATED themselves to that new server.
Still, we would like to give it a new try. There have already been a lot of ideas crawling around, from Hide&Seek, Infected Mod, Nitmod, NoQuarter up to Paintball, ETrun, Powerball, EastFront and StarWars, just to name a few.
We do not want to just decide on one without asking you. Opening a server without actually having people being interested in it doesnt really make sense, does it?
We would like to know what kind of ideas you have for a new server. That does not only mean the mod, it also includes settings, maps and even the question if it shall be a server with an actual memberbase (like most of our servers) or if its supposed to be a "fun server" (like e.g. our event server which is used on halloween, christmas etc.).
We want to have a healthy, creative discussion. Please keep out personal fights, insults or any other comments that do not help the discussion to thrive.
