Wake on Wan - Config (archived by NightFall)

Hey all

I've got this problem. I want to wake my comp from power off via wifi and NOT using a ethernet port .... I know its possible but cant manage to do it !

Some peripherals support it some dont, it seems that mine does since i was able to check the box that allow it to wake the computer.

First thing i did was to allow it in BIOS config, allow pci-e recovery or something like that.

Next thing i did was to give my comp a static IP Adress as modem flushes ip adresses ( according to some tuto i cant find anymore )

I use a Ios app to send the magicpacket and it seems to work as u can see on a "WOL packet sniffer"

Everything seems to work right ? BUT NO hahah would be too simple I found that info about editing/creating a key in registry but really dunno how :s (link)



SO, dunno if that key creating is the final thing i have to do to make all this work or not but i need your help to figure it out ... Anyone has ever done it or has some knowledge ? Or even knows about a specialized forum i could post this on ?

i would try to update your drivers and to get to the registry. click on the start menu and type regedit then you will have to follow the path given
