Slight Bans

Since we added quite some new groups on TS with certain permissions like mute, kick and even ban we also added a new way to deal with annoying people.

To solve this: ---
Ok, something needs to be done with Nebel. Yesterday on TS, according to Pullie, he was super annoying, he ruined other people fun playing songs, doing weird noises. I do not know what he did - I was on other, private channel. Kicking him is pointless, cause he will return anyway.

Can someone, ban him? I do not care about servers (even tho he should be banned for a while IMO), but maybe someone could ban him on TS?

I think there are people that are done with that... guy as well. (Cross)

--- but at the same time prevent people from being banned in the whole TS server, we created the channelgroup "SlightBan". That means for you, if there is someone really annoying in the channel, an admin with the needed permissions can set this persons channel group to "SlightBan". If you then kick the person once (or the person leaves the channel) he/she can not come back, but is ofc still able to visit other TS channels or make their own temp. channel --> thats why it is called a slight ban instead of a full ban.


Please be careful though with this channel group, since every decision, as usual, no matter if its a mute, a kick or a ban, has to be justified. We do not want to make hasty and unfair decisions.


To remove the SlightBan, just pull the person into the channel again and set the group back to whatever (guest, usually).

Does it make any sense? It is much easier to just make your own channel and lock it with a password, mute him or just don't react - he will get bored and go away. Simple.
Actually, an issue with Nebel is easy. Just tell him to stop and he will stop. We did it and he listened.
This "slight ban" system can cause a lot of problems in the future too.

If you guys want to do something so much, why don't you promote some very active members of TWC to TS admins? They would keep TS clean and nice. Problem solved.

There are TS admins, and they can kick and ofc aswell ban. However, there might be a time you do not want to have someone in a certain channel, e.g. the Sniper channel during sniper-ppl-meetings. Instead of having to constantly kick the person OR having to ban the person from all the other channels aswell (which might be unfair cause maybe that person behaves well in ND-TS channel), you can just ban that person from one channel.

Similar to what we have on the servers, a ban on one server doesnt mean a ban on all.

Also, you can still use normal, serverwide bans if needed.

So let's take like you said for example sniper. I think there are some sniper members who likes to come and talk with the other members from different user-groups. Promote this guy and problem solved. He is an sniper admin and TS admin. Of course, the sniper members can call other TS admin if he wouldn't be on
server.

Don't make a huge problem, becouse of one troll. There is so many other solutions to remove trolls, no need to make another one.
