W:ET FPS and no scoreboard (archived by John)

Hey guys,

Since yesterday my fps has been on 12-30 all the time and I don't know why because I haven't did anything (well as I know). ^^

I tried the r_primitives 2 , but it's still the same fps.

Also I have another problem.
When I'm spectating other players I can't see their name and all that stuff says "Press L to open limbo menu or press MOUSE 1 to follow next player" Also I can't see killing sprees and the scoreboard.

I really hope some of you guys knows what the hell is happening hehe..

Did you installed something heavy or from non-trusted source? This could impact in some way your ET.
Try also closing programmes, which you are not using, like browser etc. It all makes FPS lower.
GameBooster may help too.

Her pc is probably drunk xDDD but you could try to do a system restore to a point when the game actually worked? idk if that would work or not xD

whats your usual fps? and like duka said u can try closing all programs which youre not using(but it wont have alot of effect)

My usual fps is 90.. and ye I tried that too. I'm currently running some virus scan on my pc and I hope that will help a bit

Hmmm that is pretty irritating. Are you the only one that is using your PC? Might be a good idea to check newly installed software. therefore go to configuration/programs/programs and [idkhowtotranlateit]
there select the "Installed on date" tap so the latest installed program will show on top. if it's a prog you didnt want to install and you are sure it should be there remove it and hope the problem will be solved. If not try a cleaning program as Ccleaner. there is a free version of it. run it and see what happens. If that doenst work . hmmm you might want to run some tests. But I suggest you come back here in the mean time to ask what to do now...

If you have visited other servers it might be a problem in ET. If not its a problem with windows. And you might have experienced other problems as well. (slow startup time of other programs for instance.)

I have the same problem sometimes. but mostly when I restart ET it solved..

o btw you might also want to check "proceses"
You press [CTRL+ALT+DEL] /task manager and press the TAB "processes"
the select the subtab processor see what programs are at the top
after that select the subtab "memory" and see what programs are at the top.
