When you connect into game? Or when do you have that error message?

That error appears when you delete your entire name in-game. You always have to keep at least 1 symbol to avoid that error. To fix it you have to type in a new name somehow. I guess the best way to do that is in the ET main menu in options. It might also work if you change your profile name, not sure about that.

Or you delete your whole profiles folder (unless you have anything important in there other than the standard files), then you will get a new profile folder automatically once you restart ET and you can type in a new name.
