Yes personal opinions should be left out of such topics. Attacks of such nature should be kept private if not left out at all.

J0hnny has apologized to me and I hope he goes the step further and apologizes to all of you. His personal life got the better of him recently. If he chooses to tell more, I will leave it to him.
