How do you create mapcyles and what to look out for.

You would need a text editor, i recommend Notepad++. You can download it here: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/
We also need the desired maps, which you can download here, for example: https://wolfdb.de/filebase.php

For this tutorial i am using 4 maps (3 standard maps and braundorf b4).
To get the correct map name, which we enter in a cycle and make a cycle executable, we proceed as follows:

1# Download the map of your choice and open the zip file, then the .pk3

2# Open the file maps and copy the name of the .bsp file

3# The standard maps are already integrated in ET and do not have to be downloaded. The .bsp names of the standard maps would be: oasis, battery, goldrush, radar, railgun and fueldump

Now we can start and open Notepad++ for it.

Objective cycle:

Code:

set com_watchdog_cmd "vstr d1 ; say watchdog found no map running - restarted mapcycle"

set d2 "set g_gametype 2 ; map railgun ; set nextmap vstr d3"
set d3 "set g_gametype 2 ; map radar ; set nextmap vstr d4"
set d4 "set g_gametype 2 ; map braundorf_b4; set nextmap vstr d1"
vstr d1

Hint:
Which letter you use to load a map is irrelevant. Make sure that you address the next map correctly in the nextmap command set nextmap vstr d2.
With vstr (string) we execute the next variable, i.e. the next map d2.
com_watchdog_cmd gives the command to execute the variable d1 again in the event of a loading error of a map (or of the entire cycle).
vstr d1, at the end of the cycle gives the command to start the rotation from the beginning, i.e. the variable d1.

Stopwatch cycle:
In this cycle, 2 rounds are defined for a map. This is obtained with the map_restart command.

In this tutorial we’re going to be talking about two methods of Sniping. Those are the most used methods on the server.

Method 1: Binoc Sniping aka quickscope.

Never heard of Binoc Shooting? The idea behind is to scout for enemy troopers, and when you spot one, you quickly switch to the primary weapon used in a Sniper match - the almighty k43.

In order to perform said action, you have to press and hold your bound key (B) to your Binoculars. When the enemy is spotted, you quickly switch to the rifle’s scope (right mouse button) and shoot away.

The trick with Binoc sniping is to move fast, usually in a pattern of left and right (A + D). Of course the enemy will probably spot you right away, but they will not be able to take a clean shot. It takes a lot of practice but it does make sniping a lot of Fun!

If you get good at this, there is a more advanced technique called Jump shooting. Basicaly its the same thing - Hold B then quickly change to right mouse and shoot. But this time you Double Jump (Jaymod) or simply jump once and perform the shot. You can even do a Side Jump shots, however those are really difficult because the timing has to be perfect. The only difference is the direction you’re jumping in. If you manage to perform basic jump shooting, you should be practising on side jumping as well. The timing has to be on point in order to successfully open up the scope and shoot the enemy. While you’re jumping straight up, you either press A or D to jump to the side. Doing this will definitely surprise the enemy.

Method 2 : Leaning Sniping Method

Leaning is basicaly hiding behind a box or a similar obstacle while crouching (holding C button).

Look through your scope (right mouse) while holding Q or E. This way you’re able to spot the enemy without them spotting you. Jaymod does not recognise the enemy peaking behind the box, this is by far the easiest and the safest method of sniping. However, most of the advanced Sniper players are not using this method, as it’s considered to be reserved for beginners

To successfully shoot your opponent you have to release the C button and take the shot. Make sure when standing your scope has to be aligned with the opponent’s head. Please note, when crouching and leaning your field of view is different.

Video’s Tutorial : In this video i explain the movements. I tried to slow it down so its easier to see whats happening.

https://vimeo.com/514279717 : Leaning

https://vimeo.com/514280081 : Binoc + Jump shot

Hope this is usefull for everyone who wants to try Sniping In different methods

See you ingame!

This is a real quick table tutorial for those who intrested. Please not that i have added spacers within the bracelets otherwise it will post a table like this you can see the structure of it but you must delete the spaces in order to make it work.

This is how you state the start of the table: [ table]

Wtihin a table you have to start a row. which you can do as follows.[ tr]
And the end of it: [ /tr]

In the row you will need cells. which starts with : [ td]
and ends with : [ /td]

Hi! So first of all I wanna apologize all of you for my shitty attitude on ND. It was just trolling I'm not racist, I'm not neo-nazi and shit. Now let's begin.
So I was trying hard to get high acc with my final aim to get 50. I stopped playing ET some time ago and start playing quake live and one time I noticed why my aim sucks and I wanna give you knowledge I was seeking through years with answers like low sens, practice -.-. My opinion on that is low sensitivity helps to track player with crosshair but it helps IT DOES NOT DO IT FOR YOU, technique is 1. It's like somebody gives you ferrari and you don't know how to drive . So what I noticed is that I was kind like stopping my mouse for miliseconds like aiming at opponent then wait until he moves further and then aim again which is WRONG because it causes to undershooting. WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS: when your opponent is moving to the left you moving your mouse to the left at the same speed opponent is moving literally all the time until he changes direction, when he changes you will notice that you overshoot him obviously and THEN AND ONLY THEN move mouse to the other direction again one, smooth, continous mouse move without ANY STOPPING. Now sensitivity which in my opinion is second most important thing you can check raziel guide he has said a lot on that subject. Here you have link ftp://ftp.ludd.luth.se/pub/misc/swertcw/...gbyraz.zip. What I can tell more is about mouse and sensitivity. Some mouse has problem that when you moves your mouse fast on low sens it goes crazy and not moves almost at all just jumps in one place. Windows settings should be always 6/11 (6 that small dots of 11) it's default one, then you want to uncheck that dialog box "Enhance pointer precision" it's acceleration then make mouse fix. For windows xp it's in said guide, for windows 7 and newer this link http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/2010...n-fix.html you have instruction there. LAST THING I WANNA SAY IS YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR HOW YOU AIM AND THINK OF WHAT ARE YOU DOING WRONG. TO DO THAT RECORD DEMO IT'S A LOT EASIER TO SEE IT THERE. So I hope that helps, really sorry for all the dumb things I said, made. So take that as gift from me .
Dear members,

As of recent, the server supremes have the ability to add and remove people from the usergroups of their server, i.e. the server members and high admins groups. The result is that we no longer have to send out tickets for group changes and thereby relieving some of the work of the MST.

There are two options:

We can add you

You can apply for a group

To apply for a group, you need to go to your user control panel or "user cp" which can be found at the top of the forums. There you will find a panel on the left with a number of things you can change to your own profile. The red arrow indicates the group memberships, click this to view your group memberships.

In the next page, you will find an overview of the groups you can join (at the top) and the groups you are already a member of (at the bottom). In my case, it also shows the groups I lead since I am the supreme of panzerwar.

Here, you can select the group you wish to join. The supreme will get a notification on top of his webpage and has to accept it before you will become a member of a group.

But it doesn't stop here. At the moment, this system does not automatically change your display group. To change your display group, you have to go back to your group memberships after you have been accepted. At the bottom of the page, where the groups you are a member of are listed, you have to click 'Set as display group' to effectively display your new usergroup.
I found on the Counter Strike Forum link to program Cfosspeed - and its very strange but it works..
Hi,
This is my first post here. I came here to share with you how to fix irritating fps problem if you use newer AMD Radeon GPU. I had massive problems with unstable fps while playing ET on my laptop. FPS were changing all the time from about 50 to 125fps. Game was lagging and /r_primitives 2 command did not help. I was trying to fix the fps problem by installing older graphics drivers, did not help Yesterday I accidentally found a solution http://www.crossfire.nu/tutorials/221/ho...et-in-2015 in the comment section on the bottom of the page, Chriswww wrote:
Now the utilities are all old and dont work with newer cards. The windows drivers will automatically apply this compatibility fix when you rename et.exe to quake3.exe. You'll see that you dont get the warning about extension string too long in startup messages in console. Most importantly, gfxinfo will now show that compiled vertex arrays (extension) enabled, without which you get the fps drops. On Linux/Mac, there's an environment variable you set before starting ET, which activates a corresponding fix. It's something like MESA_MAX_EXTENSION_YEAR or similar, and should be set to 2007 or before. Google for mesa opengl environment variable page, which documents them. On Nvidia, use third party Nvidia Inspector program to either set up ET profile or global profile setting extension_string_version to 4844 (hex value)

YES, all I had to do was to change ET.exe name to quake3.exe Now 125 fps is almost rock solid, it drops to ~100 only in a few places
I hope this thread will help someone.
YES, all I had to do was to change ET.exe name to quake3.exe Now 125 fps is almost rock solid, it drops to ~100 only in a few places
I hope this thread will help someone.

Hello!

I have always wanted an application that seeks the server map and players on the server so I wouldn't have to actually join the server or come see the boards to look it up. So I decided to code one myself. It's coded in java and requires jre to work. I might rewrite this in some more native language in the future, but I just happen to use java a lot and know how to program with it. I tried to do some as much as possible straight-forward instructions how to use it, but if you don't understand how it works just reply here and I try to fix this. Be sure to report any bugs or flaws you find. I provide you the core jar to play with and an easier bat file for people with less technical knowledge.

Q/A

Q: What is it?

A: It's an application that gets the players and the map from a server and displays it to you simply and allows you to launch the game directly with a press of enter.

Q: What are the requirements?

A: Java is required

Q: Why doesn't it work?!?

A: Java is required. Make sure that you have entered the right server, port and have supplied the correct path of the game.
ET Server Info by nex

Easy use:
1) Edit the tj.bat to the server you want to check
2) Set your ET path by following the instructions there
3) See server info
4) Enter to join the game, exit to close

You can copy the bat as many times as you like and change the server ip and port:
etinfo tj.twcclan.org to see Trickjump info
etinfo nd.twcclan.org to see No Download info
etc. Default port is 27960 and can be overriden by:
etinfo server.org 27961

Advanced use:
1) Jar takes 3 arguments in order: ip [port = 27960] [executable path]

Ideas for use:
1) Create shortcuts for the bat files and open the from desktop to see if you want to join the server
2) Set etinfo to such folder as C:/bin and add the directory to %PATH%. Run straight from the start-menu by
typing etinfo serverip port [executable].
Example:
etinfo tj.twcclan.org
etinfo tj.twcclan.org 27960
etinfo tj.twcclan.org 27960 ET.exe
3) Create a batch like tj.bat that contains
etinfo tj.twcclan.org and execute tj from the start-menu
Although it does have a threshold of 100fps for optimal mouse usage, neg accel doesn't seem apparent until you get below 60 fps. Raw input is really good and makes the game more consistent."
For those, who have ET installed on the same hard drive than your operating system, the User Account Control on Windows forces you to run ET as administrator, if you have not disabled UAC. Part 2: If #1 doesn't work (Written by Mac)

Why it doesn't work:
<details class="spoiler">
Spoiler

For those, who have ET installed on the same hard drive than your operating system, the User Account Control on Windows forces you to run ET as administrator, if you have not disabled UAC. This causes ET to work when launched using Steam, but you can't use overlay, because UAC causes you problems.
</details>
If you have done the steps in part 1 and overlay doesn't work, these extra steps will fix it:

1) Find your Steam desktop shortcut or Steam.exe.

2) Use right mouse button and open Properties. Navigate to tab Compatibility. After that, check the box saying Run this program as an administrator.

3) Find your ET desktop shortcut or ET.exe.

4) Repeat step 2 for ET to make sure it is also running as an admin. Restart Steam after these steps, and overlay should be working.
