Q: How can I edit my profile?

A: Click UserCP under forum logo:

Then choose one of the 'Your Profile' options:

• Edit Profile - you can edit here basic information displayed in your profile, like birthday (need to set it to be displayed in birthdaylist), XFire, server, location, Custom User Title (displayed over avatar), away status (if you're inactive) etc.
  There is also tags field, you should fill it like that: ^6-^7TWC^6|^7immortar^6|^0S^9ST^#*
  
• Change Password
  
• Change Email
  
• Change Avatar - you can choose either from default gallery (click GO) or custom avatar (file from your computer or direct link to image in for example tinypic)
  
• Change Signature - you can change your signature here. Can use any MyCode (video, image etc.). There is a limit of 5 images (including smilies) to prevent oversized signatures. Remember to check 'Enable my signature in all of my existing posts.' before saving.

You can also change your default group by clicking on 'Group Memberships', then clicking on (Set as Display Group) next to group name.

To change your name, send ticket to Support team (see below).


Q: What's Support/HelpCenter and how to use it?

A: Help Center is a plugin which can be used to send tickets to Supporters. In the tickets you can request forum things like changing name, group, adding/deleting subforum, moderator etc.
To get to the Help Center you need to click SUPPORT in the forum menu:

Q: What is reputation and how to use it?

A: Reputation is a point system (the more points the better). Each member of forum can give one reputation to another users so think twice before giving it out. You can give either positive (green), neutral (gray) or negative (red) reputation.
To give reputation, click on 'Reputation: x' in someone's post (then [img]images/tema/english/postbit_reputation.png[/img]) or [Rate] in profile.


Q: How to use MyCodes (BBcodes)?

Most BBcodes are clickable in editor but there are also some hidden.
Hidden MyCodes:

- strikes the text, this is an example

/me xxx

- some people may know this from IRC, I won't explain it, just give example
* Destroy666 gives example of /me usage
Note: /me needs to be at beggining of line.

/slap xxx

- funny code similar to /me, needs to be at beggining of line too
* Destroy666 slaps the one who is reading it around a bit with a large trout.

- makes the text smaller and under normal text - _{example here}

Changing forum specific settings

To change forum settings go to UserCP, then click 'Edit Options'.
Available settings:

• Privacy - you can hide yourself from Who's Online list by checking the box
  
• Messaging and Notification - everything about E-mails, PMs and profile comments. You can also subscribe to all threads.
  
• Date and Time Options - you can set your timezone and date/time format.
  
• Forum Display Options - here you can set how many threads per page should be displayed and how old should they be.
  
• Thread View Options - you can turn off avatars/signatures in posts, also Quick Reply box under posts. There are also 2 layout options - "Display posts in classic mode." and "Thread View Mode". I'll show the differences between them on screenshots.

• Other Options - you can turn off redirect pages (for example after posting or logging in).
  

Moderation

1. Moderators and their function:

• Regulators - they can moderate every forum, shoutbox, profile and calendar.
  
• Moderators - they moderate just specific forums, for example fireteam leader can ask for moderation in Support.

2. Thread moderation
There are two ways of moderating threads - single or inline. To moderate single thread you can either select it in forum base view or just open it. To moderate more threads you need to select more in forum base view. Then you can use one of these tools:

• Close Thread(s) - closes a thread so noone except regulators/moderators, supporters and admins can write in it.
  
• Open Thread(s) - opens closed thread.
  
• Stick Thread(s) - makes thread stick, they are show as 'Important thread' above other.
  
• Unstick Thread(s) - makes thread unstick.
  
• Delete Thread(s) - deletes thread completely (can be only retrieved with backup tool).
  
• Move/Copy Thread(s) - moves or copies thread
  
• Unapprove Thread(s) - unapproves a thread (it is shown only for moderators/regulators, supporters and admins).
  
• Approve Thread(s) - approves unapproved thread back.
  
• Archive - moves thread to archive and closes it

Single thread specific tools:

• Edit/View Thread Notes - edits notes about thread.
  
• Delete Selective Posts - deletes selected posts.
  
• Split Thread - makes new thread out of selected posts.
  
• Merge Thread - converts 2 threads into 1.
  
• Merge Selective Posts - converts few posts into 1.
  
• Remove Redirects - removes all redirects which have been made while moving thread.
  
• Remove All Subscriptions - removes subscriptions to thread.

Post specific tools:

• Delete Posts - deletes selected posts.
  
• Merge Posts - converts selected posts into 1.
  
• Split Posts - splits selected posts into new thread.
  
• Unapprove Posts - unapproves selected posts (they are shown only for moderators/regulators, supporters and admins).
  
• Approve Posts - approves unapproved posts back.

There can be also used Delayed Moderation for instance if you want to move thread after 1 or more days.

3. Mod CP
Mod CP is a place where moderators can post announcements (threads visible in every base which can't be replied), see reported posts, notes from other moderators or moderation logs.

4. Global annoncements
Global announcements are sticky topics shown on all forum pages. Only the most important things which are constant or have long duration should be posted there.


TWC forum <-> servers bridge

1. GUID security
All High Admins (level 14+) have to upload their etkeys on forum in order to use commands. Works currently only in our Jaymod servers.
To do it first choose MANAGE->IDENTITY in header menu or visit http://board.twcclan.org/misc.php?twc=ident then upload your etkey there.
It checks the ip of your forum account and GUIDs associated with it in-game. If they match, you'll be able to use commands. If not, you need to visit forum first then go on one of our servers.


Another features

1. Calendar
Calendar is a place where all birthdays and custom events are displayed. To add a custom event (for example server event), ask a high admin for rights. You can view calendar by pressing CALENDAR button in forum menu or visiting this link: http://board.twcclan.org/calendar.php
You can see upcoming events and birthdays below shoutbox on index.

2. Shoutbox
Shoutbox is the chat for live discussions on forum index page. There is nothing much to write about it, only that you can use any BBcode in it except image. You can also report unwanted shouts.

3. Drafts
You can save any unfinished PM, post or thread as Draft to edit it later. You can find saved drafts in UserCP under Miscellaneous.

4. PMs
PMs = Private Messages. You can send them to as many people as you want (need to add them as Recipients).
Editing PMs is like editing posts - can use everything.
If your message quota reaches maximum, you need to delete some PMs or people won't be able to send them to you. If you don't want to lose the PMs, you can download them as .html/.txt/.csv file ( http://board.twcclan.org/private.php?action=export ).
You can also manage PM folders to segregate your messages ( http://board.twcclan.org/private.php?action=folders ).

5. Buddy/Ignore list
Buddy list is a list with your friends (shown in profile or when you click 'Open Buddy List'). To add someone to your buddy list, add his nickname here http://board.twcclan.org/usercp.php?action=editlists or enter his profile and click 'Add xxx to your buddy list!'.
Ignore list is a list with people you want to ignore (don't see their posts and PMs). You can add them here too http://board.twcclan.org/usercp.php?action=editlists

6. Gallery
Gallery is a place where you can add images. To open gallery click GALLERY in forum menu or go here http://board.twcclan.org/ezgallery.php You can add/comment pictures under specified categories there.

How to add image?
1. Open the rigth category and click 'Add a picture'.
2. Give a proper title and description, pick good category and choose picture. You can also add tags (useful when searching).
3. Click 'Add Picture'.
4. Your image will get to moderation - it may be approved and added or disapproved, so add only normal images (for example from clan event).

7. Memberlist
It shows TWC members by groups, their in-game name, XFire, last visit on forum (red if over month) and PM/E-mail buttons. Can switch sorting in the form. You can access it by clicking MEMBERS in forum header or enter http://board.twcclan.org/misc.php?page=memberlist

If there is 'None set' or if there isn't in-game name near your name, you need to edit userfields in UserCP.

If you aren't in group like Members, High Admins or Owners but you should be, we'll need to set your primary group. Report it in Support.

8. Sidebar
Sidebar is the bar on index with those boxes:

• few latest posts in threads
  
• quick links to download applications and forum help
  
• quick server join buttons - they work only if you have XFire/HLSW
  
• our teamspeak server status, with servers and members in them. To join Teamspeak server you can click -TWC|Teamspeak on the top (TS3 needed).

To turn off/on the whole sidebar, click on the arrow right to it's top. It will save as cookie setting.
