This is a little example of what is most of the problem in TWC today. I do not want replies. This will not be the start of another member bashing or fighting post. This will be closed so that no one has a chance to reply. I just want you guys to listen for once.
This past week we had two major drama situations. Both could have been handled 100% differently, but for some reason both pushed a wedge deeper in between members than the one that has already been there.
Why? Well, in both cases, complaints were posted. What did many people do? They immediately took what they saw from one side and made their final decisions based on that. Not even wanting to hear the other persons sides. How did the guys in each of these cases react? Exactly how any one of you would, they got angry back. Never did I see any one asking calmly for the other side to the story.
When did we become like that? How is that fairness? Since when isn't a person accused of something allowed to give his side before being harshly judged? Since when is it that we crucify and damn someone without being allowed to have a chance to calmly explain.
Why is it that we get so angry so fast that we turn a blind eye on one of our own? How does that define the words "clan" or "family"?
It doesn't. This is no longer a clan. It is a bunch of rival gangs hating each other gang. It is a family living countries apart in need of some serious family counseling.
With me being the so called Dad of the clan, I feel it is my responsibility to do some counseling, but guys and girls I have to tell you, it is getting so hard to be the man of reason here. I have to admit that as calm as I seemed, I was getting very mad at what I have been seeing.
I was seeing members hating members. Anger being returned with anger as it has been happening for almost 2 years now. You can see it in almost any post in forum. Members jumping on the band wagon of hate. Pointing fingers and slinging mud. Still you all have the nerve to call this a clan. To wear a common tag. To play in servers that are put online for people to have fun. Well, where is the fun? Because with so much hate, there is no way any of you can be having any fun.
It is getting to the point that makes me think, why is someone paying good money to keep the TWC servers online for you guys to fight hate each other. How many of you would pay for this? To pay to see members at each others throats on a daily basis? To see you persecute each other and to judge so quickly? Yesterday in shout box it got the point that I seriously opened cpanel and was about to hit the off button. Was I bluffing or was I really gonna do it? To be honest with all of you.... Even I am not sure. Yes, it really has gotten that bad.
I don't just blame each and every one of you, I blame myself for letting it get this far out of hand. I blame all of us, for not even trying to make things right again. We have chosen our course and refuse to even slightly alter our current direction.
Is it too late to change things back and steer to a better horizon? I'm thinking that it just may be too late. I'm hoping that all of you can pull together as a "clan" prove me wrong.
