Well no, technically No Download servers in Jaymod are never No Download to begin with, since the mod itself is not included with an original, vanilla installation.

But the simple fact is that the "No Download" name is used because it has been used for years and years, even by servers that have downloads. It just indicates that the server has all of the stock maps in the cycle. At least that's how I see it.

I think people who have played the game for ages are more likely to join the server if the name is "No Download" compared to "Jaymod".

and if i have all standard maps on it and 43 more is it still a no download server? still if i have soundpacks, graphic packs on it? just because i have the standard maps on it?

wasn't it a "no download" server because back then not everyone had a "flat rate" and also because the standard maps just went out of fashion at that time because of the custom maps? then we played another game i think
