Well what year are you in in college or university? It's always a smart idea to just get your degree and have it as a backup when your dream for baking cakes fails. But you do have baking skills imo. I would pay more then €20 for that cake 
But yea I know that elderly attitude way too well
Although I love what I'm studying whenever I start talking like about a cool future she like "just make sure you pass these exams or that project or test,..." it never stops.... (well it will in june when I graduate )
