Information

Scenario:
You got yourself a new PC / reinstalled windows. You have now installed all updates and drivers, and next is the step where you go to all of those 6891 sites to download all of your needed programs...

Solution:
What if there was an easier way? What if there was a service that could somehow help you out... And look, there is one.

https://ninite.com

Ninite supports most programs you need, and will download and install them for you with few clicks.

Quote:Ninite will
  • start working as soon as you run it
  • not bother you with any choices or options
  • install apps in their default location
  • say no to toolbars or extra junk
  • install 64-bit apps on 64-bit machines
  • install apps in your PC's language or one you choose
  • do all its work in the background
  • install the latest stable version of an app
  • skip up-to-date apps
  • skip any reboot requests from installers
  • download apps from each publisher's official site
  • verify digital signatures or hashes before running anything

It updates too???
Oh and the best part: That installer that Ninite gives you (smt like 500kb) can be used to update the applications, as Ninite will only install those that are out of date Smile

Why i like it
I've been using Ninite for quite some time now, and they keep adding usefull apps (srsl check the list) and it really does work as advertised, installs proper bit versions, answers "Fuck you." to all 'Install Ask Toolbar' etc requests.

Even more stuff?
Ninite also offers some other services like Ninite Pro and Ninite Updater

Oh and Ninite Pro is used by NASA, Harvard Medical School and Tupperware. Also like the whole internet loves it...

It truly saves a metric fuckton of time, and is recommened especially with clean installations, to save the hassle of going trough 200 different sites and then clicking yes next next yes, only to realize that you forgot to uncheck the "Install Reg Cleaner Pro" checkbox...
So next time you are presented with a clean installation of Windows, head to ninite.com and save your precious time Wink

This might sound like quite a sales pitch, but hey, it's a great service, and also free...
