What happened to unity? - ZonElax - 03-12-2020 Hello dear members, as of lately I have noticed a lot of negative and not so friendly conversations between members and even guests. What is the deal about that? I see a lot of hate going towards Finnish players, but I cannot seem to understand why this is still happening. Their community is pretty big and they're very united, unlike the rest of our clan. Instead of everybody hating on them why don't we look up to them and learn a bit more about unity. It's the one thing that's missing in our community and if this is going to continue, I am not sure where we will end up. Yes, I said harsh things about them as well, but the more thought I give it, the more I admire them. They're absolutely dominating on activity, they're very good players (sometimes too good :P), but most importaintly as mentioned before they're UNITED. Please stop with the stereotypes and accept them as fellow members and guests. I can see many will disagree with me and will accuse me of unfair treatement towards other members. My point here is to make peace and friendly enviroment where everybody is treated equally and given chance, even the second chance. We're a clan, that actually means we are ONE. We should stick together and not fight useless wars and disagreements. I know we're very different from eachother and we come from different families all over the world, but we all have something in common. That something is Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. The fights on Discord or on the Forum occur almost on daily basis now. Why? Give me a valid reason and explain to me why is this happening? Why are we adding more rules just to be broken in matter of seconds? We've tried to remove as much of the rules as possible and things are still not in order (I mean mostly on No Download). What do you want from me? Please think about your actions first, only then give opinions. We all have our subjetive opinions, which doesn't mean the other guy is wrong. I am trying to be objective here and I'm eager to listen to the both parts of the story. Also what the hack happened to the rules on Discord? I've looked up the official rules and it clearly says the main language on Discord is English. Disrespectful, offensive and sexually related speech is forbidden as well. Also I forgot to mention that spamming is not allowed either. Hearing about 'kys' (kill yourself) and 'idiot' is not the way to communicate with fellow member. Please respect everyone equally. Please, I am begging you, before you make a post or leave a comment think about it and don't make it subjective. Thank you! PS: Please read the following quotes from MayheM and Ligustah as well. Quote:MayheM Quote:Ligustah Take care, ZonElax. RE: What happened to unity? - Number - 03-12-2020 "TWC was made for people to have fun" Okay ![]() So this is the fun/peace/unity what are you looking for? I don't think if it's funny when someone (this time supreme) makes a fun of you especially when you are muted (for spamming in my case). RE: What happened to unity? - Nirv - 03-12-2020 For number : You spam, get muted and then complain of being made fun of ? It’s like if you robbed a bank, get caught, being put in prison and then complain about your punishement ?Sorry but before complaining, act normal in the first place. And try to be irreproachable This is ridiculous and anyway on the screenshot you see nothing wrong ? Just Thrasher saying long time no see, which is normal, he’s probably high as phoque and probably forgot that he saw you 5 mins ago. And zone’s post isn’t the place to put complains about other members and/or supreme. There is a sub forum section made for this RE: What happened to unity? - Number - 03-12-2020 (03-12-2020, 09:57 AM)Nirv Wrote: For number : 1. I don't know the real reason why I was muted for. I only thought it was because of a spamming with "ban" stuff and so. 2. I understand your point of a view, however you take this as a fun, but I'm letting you know that when you are muted somewhere and somebody starts to annoy you it's not funny at all (for people like me) 3. This is not a complain, I have read all what zone wrote here, I'm just showing how some twc members acts, and I don't think this is the right way to make a peace/unity. I've seen so many things back in 2012-13, I lost count. Then I said "let's move on and come back a few years later"... clan is alive but nothing has changed. So the conclusion is: The lack of unity and solidarity will cause even more problems as long as the community stay alive. Solving this problem is kinda difficult, since some people can't even drink the morning coffee without starting some irrational shitstorm on different online platforms. In addition the virus makes the scenario even worse, because people have to stay at home and they get bored easily. On topic: Finnhating has been a thing in TWC since 2016 when Tupakki and Snowman suddenly appeared . Its been almost 5 years and this is still a thing.Think about it: Theres one finnish supreme, one leader (well, 2 if you count Snowman), one co-leader, one level 7 admin + numerous lower level members. We would not have this many high ranked finns if we were trolling all the time. We do realise that we've made mistakes in the past, but we just have to live with it. If we want to keep TWC alive, we have to move on and forget all these things. You don't have to like everyone, but you have to stop the witch-hunt. PS. When I saw the name of this thread, I thought Zone was talking about Unity game engine. RE: What happened to unity? - Nirv - 03-12-2020 Im playing with Finnish people since a while now. In the past before joining TWC as well. They are in general decent players. With a great sense of humour ![]() I don’t understand this global hate towards them. When I took over HS / ND, I was playing mostly with them and it was composed of roughly 90 procent of Finnish players. Our Finnish members and guests are alright. Active and friendly and I never got any issues with any of them. Ok, sometimes , some of them are being trollish, in a joking way of course but nothing too serious. If you get some sense of humour and with a bit of self-mockery, it can be fun ![]() i feel like some people are envious and even jealous towards the suomi community and the fact that they are United / Unify? So yeah, learn to know them, play with them, have fun with them and get along with them, they are nice people really. And of course stop hating on them. Now Zone, another problem from this clan is this unhealthy spirit where some persons keep on being unhappy about literally everything, whine, moan and complain about every changes, blame the supreme’s hard work and create topics and useless arguments all the time. That’s a real nuisance, it’s time consuming and very annoying. Thanks god I have strong nerves and I always try to deal with them and try to understand those people from their point of view (btw they are not fins). I won’t say name but it doesnt matter who they are really ... whether they are guests, ex members, current members or even other supremes... they will recognize themselves. Adapt yourself to the situations guys, I’ve been explaining why all the changes made on ND was actually made. The changes occurred after polls, heavy discussion within ND HA and members and we try to make our member base happy. We have tested all tests and modified them when they weren’t efficient enough. Of course we can’t please everyone. But try give a chance and try play with our changes. They are in my opinion beneficial and we even get a decent amount of guests and core members playing every evening during ND meeting. RE: What happened to unity? - ZonElax - 03-12-2020 Hey, Oh Number, your actions reflects on other people. You just can't help yourself to comment when there is nothing to comment and therefore make useless fights. The world is definately against you, have you ever considered you're the problem? Why don't you play peacefully and mind yourown bussines for once. If you annoy people, what am I supposed to do? Watch how people get annoyed and do nothing... It's not how it works. Yes Warden I'm absolutely aware of the situation about Covid right now, we're in tough times, but instead of coming together and be stronger we decided to start a war. Why? There's no excuse for being rude or disrespectful towards other people. The activity is really strong and the daily meetings are working (congrats ND team). I'm sure we can do better and improve our behaviour... Together. Also Narko, I guess you could say I click baited you :P Finns have theirown type of fun, I guess it's not wrong since it's working efficiently. Salut. |
