How to be a better Panzerwar player - ZonElax - 21-02-2012

Welcome to our tutorial for panzerwar server, if you don't know anything about aiming, moving, styles to play, etc. that's your right address. I hope those hints will help you to be a bit better in panzerwar server. Enjoy and have fun.

First we will start with aiming. Most players are aiming directly in opponent which you can see here:

But that kind of aiming isn't correct, because opponent as you see is moving in right side, and if you want to hit him you will need to do that:

Next comes moving. If you don't like to be hit by opponent you will have to jump and move right and left (A + D) in air, that makes opponent to miss you. Here you can see three pictures about moving left and right.

Next are styles to play. Here I will tell you some hints about playing, maybe you already know camping isn't good in panzerwar server, and also walking on ground isn't good. Anyway you have to move, you need to jump and move left and right, as you already know. To jump far and high in air you will need to do double jump (hit space two times), and use SHIFT (that makes you to jump higher and further). Yea, you can also do single jump, that makes opponent to think you will jump high in air, but you are not, so he will shot above you (it doesn't work on professionals :P). I know it's not so easy, but you will get used to it very soon.

Maybe some advices about shooting? When shooting, don't press and hold left mouse button, but every time you want to make a shoot wait and make sure you are aiming in opponent, as I said before. Sometimes I press C in air, it gives me feeling I shoot better (maybe I'm wrong Biggrin

Some settings which might help you with playing. If you are disturbed by smoke you can remove it. Just press ESC --> OPTIONS --> VIEW, find Particles and click on it to turn them off (NO for off, YES for on). It's a bit harder to play, but you will get used on it. You can also change CROSSHAIR look, I play easier if I have small dot (but that's how I am used to play, you can have normal one)

We are very close to the end. Final thing is about getting killed many times. If you get killed many times, don't swear or insult opponent, just try to be good or quiet or say Great shot and try harder (many times I get mad, because of that, but it helps to say great shot instead of insulting opponent).

I really hope that was a good tutorial for panzerwar server and you liked it. It's not so much, but at least something to make your game-play more interesting. I will try to add some more.

but this thread is still helpful to pw beginners Biggrin

EDIT:
you can also crouch while dodging on the floor, i do this and opponents miss me alot Biggrin

also crouch in the air means you can duck panzershots Biggrin
