Dear Members and Guests,
Some of us keep upgrading sniper server behind the scenes. As you know, we wouldn't make any important decision without your feedback.This time we would like to refresh SW rules to make the server more playable and enjoyable for everybody.
There is a rule about crossing: crossing on most of the maps is not allowed (some of them got special scripts and/or built-in crossing blocker entities). The rest of these maps are free for crossing.
You may ask what's the problem with that? - Well, some of our guests and even (ex)members don't really care about the first part of the crossing rule. These guys usually start camping and spawnkilling on the opposite side, that forces people to leave the server without saying a single word. I've seen many guests rage-quitting, because some bored players didn't stop trolling after 4-5 warnings. Crossing -and- camping, spawnkilling, trolling is toxic and should be forbidden on every single standard (2 sided) map.
So the question is: should we forbid crossing on every standard (2 sided) sniper map, or leave it as it is. Feel free to post your opinions and questions.

Yes, but there are some exceptions (sniper rules). If I did !splat on one of these maps, ppl would come here to complain without hesitation.
+There must be some maps, where crossing is allowed ofc, but I would like to make the rules clear and understandable, because most of the players are thinking like this: if it's easy/possible to cross a map, then it's allowed.

I agree with you and the no crossing rule should and will be applied to our server. There were countless of cases when an opponent crossed and made a bit of a mess on the other side. Surely, there is no harm when you do it once for fun, but doing it continuously it really makes the game un-enjoyable. Of course there are certain maps when crossing is part of map such as Glider, Lost paradise, TWC Village, Sniper pub, HK Sniper, etc.
Crossers will be warned first and if they won't stop breaking the rules, kick will be used. We want to have and maintain heatlhy atmosphere, without any toxic behaviour or gameplay. Also Warden has mentioned scripts, those will come in use shortly.

i think it really depends if everyone currently on the server is ok with it or not. the moment somebody complains about it, it should be stopped immediately

I think a ban on crossing is justified, however shouldnt we just change the maps to the Non cross versions and maybe remove all the crossable maps all together?
I think we should either not allow it at all or allow it. No middle road!

Some of the maps are not designed to cross, but yet somehow people find a way to cross them. For example TWC Sniper. It would be great to have Glider map, becauee it's different than the rest of the maps.

I think that is sometimes fun to cross when you are playing bots when server is empty but I can see why ppl don't like it

Sooner or later it will be impossible to cross the standard sniper maps, because I'm making the crossing blocker scripts.
PS: Some of you said that, crossing is a cool "activity" ,when the normal game is boring. This feedback forced me to make special crossing blockers: there is no way to cross the map without commands.... supreme commands. Yes, if you would like to visit the opposite side, you HAVE TO ASK supremes and the other players if they are bored enough to start crossing.
