Today's recipe - LePresident - 29-03-2020

Well, since we don't have much to do all day long, I propose to share food recipes here.

I shall start first, since I proposed the idea, and also, I cooked a chicken today.

So, here we go, a presidential recipe, out of my head...

Ingredients :
  • A nice farm chicken,
  • 250g vegetables stuffing,
  • 3 heads of garlic,
  • 1 onion,
  • 20g butter,
  • 30g of cranberries,
  • 30g of figs,
  • 1 apple
  • 6 cl rhum,

I bought all these stuff in a Lidl store.
Yeah, I can hear you, I could have made the stuffing by myself, but laziness is laziness, so screw you !

Now, here's what I did. Really.
This is not what you are supposed to do, just what I did.
So if you wanna really test what I did, you just need to follow the steps...

  1. cut the garlic, the onion, the figs and the apple in thin pieces, ** edit : also cut cranberries in two pieces, or not **
  2. mix garlic, onion, figs, apple and rhum with the stuffing, bare hands, this is gross, ** edit : also add cranberries to the mix **
  3. stuff the chicken the hard way, you know, kind of "you like it, bitch !", this is also gross,
  4. give the dogs the 20g stuffing you don't need, cause your chicken is so stuffed, he's ready to explode,
  5. turn on your oven, cause you forgot to do it before, and let it heat up 15 minutes, 190°C,
  6. meanwhile, put your chicken in refrigerator, or your dogs...
  7. have an aperitif, rosé wine in my case,
  8. smoke weed, Smile
  9. have a second aperitif, cause... why not ?
  10. remember to put your chicken in the oven 20 or 25 minutes later Tongue so the oven should be hot enough,
  11. set the oven on 180°C, no need to burn the chicken,
  12. go outside with only one dog, cause the other is way too lazy,
  13. 1 hour later, take out the chicken from the oven, and brush it with the butter you forgot before,
  14. add 1 glass of water, yeah I did not mentioned it in the ingredients, but WHO CARES ???
  15. also add a pinch of basil and rosemary, why not ?
  16. put the chicken back in the oven,
  17. let it for about 40 more minutes,
  18. but don't forget to brush it with the sauce every 10 minutes. You can do it !

And, that's it, your chicken should be ready, depending on your oven.
Yeah, obviously needs 20 or 30 minutes more in my oven, cause my oven is crap, so... figure it out by yourself with your own oven Tongue

I find that it lacks sugar in the stuffing, 30g of figs and cranberries is not enough, maybe 50g cranberries and 100g figs would be better Vader

Damn President you made me laugh! That's a very attractive recipe and I shall try it someday, oh well I don't have dogs though. Sounds very delicious. I'll post some recipe later Smile

Oh Storch it's nice to hear you're a vegetarian, my GF is also and I'm slowly going in that direction Wink

RE: Today's recipe - LePresident - 29-03-2020

I can't wait for your vegetarian recipes, sounds good.
I know a vegetarian couscous recipe I use to cook, will share it one of these days Smile

About the chicken recipe, I also made an alternate version, where I did not add rhum to the mix, but instead, I left the fruit to macerate in 20 cl rhum for 2 hours.
Pretty good too.
And then, you can drink a very flavored and colored rhum, but remember 90% of the rhum will be absorbed by the fruits Wink

Edit :
Also, the "I can hear you" part of the recipe was especially made for you Zony Wink
You would probably have made it by yourself Biggrin

The sandwich i made looked exactly like this Biggrin

I made this in november 2018 on the last day of my high school to express my gratitude to all the teachers. Ofc i didnt make it alone xD, around 25 students made it under the supervision of one teacher.
I have made a variety of sandwiches and curries( yes i love curries!) since then but this was the best part of my school Biggrin

It is an easy recipe but i am not sure if these spices are available in europe Biggrin

Would you guys like to see a curry recipe? Biggrin
