I need you for the new Minecraft SERVER ! - Echo. - 14-09-2019
Hello everyone !
As recently as today, I had a talk with Ligustah about the Minecraft server.
It's not without saying that i'm very happy about the news he brings me. Indeed, he's in agreement with my MC-Server suggestion.
That's why, by following our discussion, i'm here to ask you a question.
I've been asking him which type of server he would want to do. We concluded that it would be necessary to make a poll, take any ideas, sorting them, and take the best one.
I can put forward some ideas, thanks to my experience in this game.
Vanilla : The simplest game we can do. Only one rule, no pvp. Only build, survival, adventure. Just like the "singleplayer mode" but in multiplayer. (._.)
Survival : Same as vanilla, but with some PvP and some rules. Everybody can be attacked, bring your team, fight.
PvPBox : Simple but very fun type of server. A short square map, with a "SafeZone" and a "WarZone". In this SafeZone, you can get some weapons, armor, etc, for free. Equip them and fight in the warzone.
Kill, earn coins, or get killed. With these coins, you can buy even more powerful weapons... . Very attractive game.

I don't play MC, but I'm ready to try.
So, now, I have mixed feelings...
In one hand, a safe zone would be nice for a noob like me...
In another hand, there's no safe zone in ET, so why should there be a safe zone in MC...
So, let's say, SURVVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

By the low frequency of answers, I’ll ask Ligustah to make a survival one. Don’t forget that we need to bring new people. I’m thinking about something, i’ll be talking about it when the time comes to.

Survival. Spigot 1.13.x (or 1.14 if you are feeling adventurous) with a few plugins:
Vault, Essentials and Essentials Chat for general stuff, GriefPrevention and WorldGuard to protect things.
If you want people without Minecraft accounts to join with cracked launchers, so they don't need to buy it: Set online-mode to false and also add these plugins: AuthMe for authentication so people can't spoof accounts with online-mode false and SkinsRestorer to get people with legit MC their skins working.
As a prediction with few iterations of Minecraft servers and few years of experience - at the beginning people will seem motivated to play and make structures etc. but in a few weeks or max few months the server will be empty. But it is quite fun for those few weeks.

Thank you for your help but I won’t be setting spigot 1.13.x and higher, for few reasons.
- Most of the plugins I’d like to set on the server aren’t updated for 1.13+.
- Plus I will be putting a bungeecord patched to allow players that are playing between 1.8 and 1.13 to join the server. It will allow me to make more than one server at once too.
- I won’t be setting a survival only. I’ll be setting up a Factions and a practice server.
In the plugin lists you wrote before, you forgot Groupmanager. However, thanks for your help buddy

Damn, you must have some pretty advanced stuff in mind then
I only found a few plugins I would have needed also to be updated for 1.13.x when we set up our Spigot server. But then again we settled for a very simple server with only the necessary things and no factions etc. like you mentioned you want.
Also yeah, I forgot GroupManager LuckPerms from my plugin list, my bad.
Gl with the server though!
