The ending of an era and the beginning of a new chapter - NightFall - 18-03-2018

The time has come for me to end the Wolfenstein chapter of my life.

For 10 years, I have played Wolfenstein Enemy Territory on end without taking any major breaks. I have seen many clans come and go, and I have been a part of a number of them. During the past 3 years, I have been a part of TWC. I have had a lot of fun in this clan but I have also seen it go through some rough times. Nonetheless, life goes on and so does TWC. ET might not be what it used to be a couple of years ago but I think TWC still provides people ample opportunity to play this wicked old game on a variety of mods.
I am glad that I was a part of this clan and that I was able to help guide it a little when times were a little rough. I'm also glad that I could lead panzerwar for all this time and make it a special place in the ET landscape. I hope I did a fair job.

As with all things, life has gotten up to speed with me. Combining work, sports and a social life (it's a strange phenomenon but scientists have agreed that it is a reality) leaves little room to play games. And on top of that, I don't miss playing games at all. Sure I do enjoy playing some counter strike, ARK or the newer Wolfenstein games from time to time but there hasn't been any place for good old wolfenstein ET in the past couple of months.
To a lot of you, it might not come as a surprise. I barely played ET in 2018 and I kind of have been preparing for this moment ever since I started teaching Thrasher about the panzerwar ftp back in September or so. Needless to say, this decision wasn't made overnight. The reason why I didn't leave any sooner was because I really liked being a supreme and a supporter and I liked to engage in discussion with the other supremes when issues arose. But I think that TWC is stronger now than it has been lets say a year ago. The supremes are working more closely together and also the contact with Ligustah and Mimus has improved again. Thrasher has taken over the lead of panzerwar pretty much completely and my role as a supporter can easily be filled by someone else. Therefore, I can leave this clan behind, knowing it is in good hands.

I have met a great number of awesome people during my stay here, both in TWC and EA, and some of them will remain friends for a lot longer.

My story ends here, but I left a few blank pages for someone else to fill.

------------

And now for some good news. Once upon a time, he was the supreme of panzerwar until he decided to leave and give the helm to someone else. One day in July 2017, he decided to rejoin panzerwar after a hiatus of around 4 years. He quickly worked his way up through the ranks to become the co-leader of panzerwar alongside Thrasher as a leader. During this time, Zone did a lot of work giving new content such as new maps and skinpacks to panzerwar. When Thrasher became my co-supreme he took the leader spot and now the time has come for him to reclaim his old throne and join Thrasher as the new panzerwar supreme. Many congratulations to Zone for his work and helpfulness. I'm sure that you will do a great job once again Wink

As for my position as supporter. The supremes have agreed that instead of one, there will be two new supporters by the name of Hammy and Bloxje. This means a total of 3 supporters are now available to reply to the tickets in the support system. I'll help them with some tips and tricks on how to keep the forum clean and organized but I'm sure they will do just fine.

It has been an honour to know you, always careful with words, I'm sure you are one of the calmest people within TWC. It really is sad to see you going but hey life moves on, I once was in your position so I know how that feels. I wish you best of luck and I'm hopping to see you sometime on the server.

For what is worth, you did an AMAZING job as Supreme on the server and great job on the forums. You are the man to look up to and learn something from you.

Farewell my friend,
and thank you for the opportunity to lead something that I already led in the past, I will do my best to keep it interesting and fun place to play.

I didn't really get to know you the way I might have wished but you've always seemed like a very wise, calm and mature person who always found a solution for upcoming issues. Just this leaving post is a confirmation for all that, you truly leave in style! Thank you very much for everything you've done for PW and the entire clan Nightfall, I wish you all the best for your real life.
