RE: recursive error :/ - NightFall - 02-01-2018 Did you try to open ET as an admin? And did you try these steps which Haures has posted in a different topic? right click on et shortcut go advanced check: compatibilitymode win XP sp2 or 3 and check run as admin. RE: recursive error :/ - ReXxus - 02-01-2018 yes, ill run Et:Legacy everytime as Admin. "compatibilitymode win XP sp2 or 3" <-- how? RE: recursive error :/ - Cross - 02-01-2018 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15078/windows-make-older-programs-compatible It's from windows 7 but if you are using diffrent windows, you will manage. Do as link above said and open compatibility tab and you will be able to choose there to run in compatibility mode XP sp3. Just do it and run as admin, tell if it works. RE: recursive error :/ - ReXxus - 02-01-2018 does not work somehow. It still breaks off like that. Have troubleshooting done but could find nothing .. Is it possible to do the same maybe for WIN10 compatible? RE: recursive error :/ - NightFall - 02-01-2018 Nah, the idea behind this is that windows will treat ET like the old software it is. But somehow that is not working. Like I said, I still prefer good old 2.6b. I'm sorry but I have no idea what causes this error. RE: recursive error :/ - Cross - 02-01-2018 I would suggest posting it on ET Legacy forums, if someone knows how to fix this, it's them. https://www.etlegacy.com/ RE: recursive error :/ - ReXxus - 02-01-2018 (02-01-2018, 05:19 PM)Cross Wrote: I would suggest posting it on ET Legacy forums, if someone knows how to fix this, it's them. thanks for the link, will look if i can find help.
RE: recursive error :/ - Tankey - 02-01-2018 As far as I am concerned, a recursive error is mostly caused by somekind of permissions error: it can't process underlaying files (whatever it may be doing with the files). Are you sure you've given ETL full permission, as in administrator priviliges? You might want to try to install ETL in a clean directory. If you decide to remove your current installation I would advice you to backup the directory first. Personally, I suspect you've got some leftovers from your previous ETL installation in the same folder which are bugging things out (provided that you didn't do a clean Windows reinstallation). RE: recursive error :/ - ReXxus - 02-01-2018 Well I have ET Legacy reinstalled but keep Etkey, or what do you mean? |
