New Player Join Notification Tool (archived by Thrasher) - andyyy - 04-02-2017 Hey guys, I've been working on server stuff quite a bit lately (Sn4cky and I both actually) and I wanted to share something I put up today - a player join notification tool for both PanzerWar and CrazyPANZER servers. It allows you to sign up with an email but also walks you through using your cell providers email to text feature if you'd rather receive the notification via text. You can turn on notifications for when a player enters an empty server or whenever any user enters at anytime (or both). You can sign up here... http://stutzmanplace.com/et/notifytool.php Please note that the tracking of players utilizes et.trackbase.net and runs off a cron job that executes every minute. So worst case scenario, it could take 1 minute and 30 seconds to receive a notification that someone has joined but is usually much faster. Hopefully people will sign up and it will encourage people to join when others are on so you don't have to browse these servers waiting for some action. Also, a side note about the CrazyPANZER server... Even though it's running release build software, it is running a custom built Jaymod modification that is still considered in development at this point as we have lots of plans still in the works and it's being updated regularly. Some of the features we've worked on... - HUD that displays kills/deaths like Nitmod - Fast reload of panzer rockets for fun - In order to use this feature, at console type "!setvar fastpanzer 50" You can use any value between 0 and 50 (it actually max's out around 35) Your rockets will naturally reload faster with the more deaths you incur as well. - Vote bots on/off - Get working on Linux server (this has been a major pain - for some reason our built executable will cause weird crashes, even if we build the original Jaymod to use. If someone wants to help troubleshoot this issue let us know as we would love it if you could figure out the issue) There are many many plans we have moving forward (too many to list) but we will keep you update as we progress and you are welcome to use the server while we develop (helps us with testing).
