[Poll]: 1 more custom map in ND? (archived by Sky) - Storch - 15-08-2016

Hi there,

due to the increasing amount of questions and suggestions regarding new maps / more custom maps in ND I wanted to know what the regular guests in ND think about this and 'interviewed' a big part of them in the last few days. I've asked 37 guests if they like the classic maps that we have in ND right now or if they would prefer to have more custom maps. This is basically the gist of what they said:

shOw: Would like to see new maps, but depends on the map (should be suitable for 40 players)
SugarMan: Likes non-classic maps
Klein Gerda: Would play everything, some variation would be nice
Schr0ff3l: Wouldn't be against new maps
Mycobacterium tuberculosis: Prefers classic maps, but would also play new ones
Axe|Reaper: Current maps are fine
Chicken Salad: Would like an update on the maps
MOONPIE: Would like a mixture of classic and custom maps, doesn't like Rail Gun & Battery
Sixfeetunder: Gold rush and Oasis are fine, the rest can be changed
Mr.Hinks: A nice mixture of classic and custom maps, you can't please everyone


As you can see, many of our regular guests would be in favour of more custom maps, about 3/4 of these 37 guests.

Now of course the question is, what do the TWC members think about it? We've had countless discussions about new maps until now, many of which ending with the same old argument: "people in ND like the classic maps". Well, apparently this is not necessarily the case. So maybe some people's opinion will be different now that they see what the majority of our regular guests think.

I don't want to revolutionize the entire server or something, I'm only bringing up the idea to add one (1) more custom map to our current maps. This would mean we had 6 classic maps and 3 custom maps - a nice mixture I'd say. With one more map, we would have more diversity and a slightly less chance to always play the same maps. At the same time we would still keep all the classic maps, so no one who likes the original ND idea has to worry.

We will talk about the maps themselves, which map to add etc. later, first I'd like to clarify if people would want more custom maps at all or not.

So my question to you guys is, would you like to have 1 custom map added up to our current maps or not?

As a side note: Some of you also might wonder when we will change the two custom maps (Venice & Bremen) again, as we promised to do a while ago. We will make a poll about that soon. If, however, this very poll right here will lead to the decision that we add another custom map to the server, we could combine the whole thing, take in votes about your most favourite maps and then simply take the 3 most voted maps, instead of just 2. This should not bother you too much right now, but I thought it would be nice to have in the back of your head Wink

If another map is gonna be added , I'd prefer one of the maps that were already on ND.

We will discuss about WHICH map will be added later (if yes will have most votes), so there is no point in making suggestions now already. If you've read my post you'd know that. First of all it's about the general question IF we want to add another map AT ALL.

We, or rather I, thought about replacing one of our classic maps (above all Rail Gun or Battery) as well, but in the end we decided that it would be a too radical change. They simply belong to ND and after all many people still like them. Besides, they can get !next voted, which they do very frequently, if people don't like them. That's why we abandoned the idea of replacing or deleting any classic map.

These maps are literally the worst option for ND and should not be added ever.

Why i cant vote? Anyway no from me like always. I prefer only 6 oryginal maps
