Heya TJers,
I got some PMs lately and saw some things aswell which bring me the thought it would be a good idea to have a chat with y'all.
Some people do not seem to be too happy with how change fulfills aka. not fulfills his position as TJ supreme.
From what I know he said he would be inactive some time ago, but that period of announced inactivity is long gone and he still is not back.
He does not seem to be active ingame, he wasnt on steam (the main chat program we use since xfire died apart from forum/shoutbox and ingame) for like a month, and his last post on this website was almost 2 months ago.
He was sent various PMs from both TJ people and myself, and did not answer any of them - yet he does seem to visit the forum every few days.
This leads to the question - is he somehow unable to recieve PMs, or does he willingly not care about them? And even if he just cant recieve PMs sent to him, why is he still inactive, and why didnt he give us any notification about it?
No matter which of the above mentioned points caused his absence, the issue remains that TJ is in need of an active supreme.
Theoretically all that has to be done in TJ can and is being done by the current leader, since as we all know and as i like to remind everyone all the time, a leader has just as much power as a supreme, he just can not access the ftp for mapchanges and such.
I am not aware of any alarming issues TJ has atm which require the power a supreme has (at least i have not been asked for anything server-related a leader can not do), however I do understand and support the idea of having an active supreme not for power, but for imagery. Guests see a Supreme of the server they play on with tags and level and all that and are more likely to be impressed than if they only see a leader. People will probably think better of a server as an active, worked-on server if they see there is a supreme. And lastly, TJ members and high admins are more likely to follow and work together with a supreme than discussing at times with a leader.
There are not many current TJ high admins, and in case change gets demoted, a new supreme comes up and some possibily aswell inactive people recieve a more suitable level, it will be needed to get together a new administrative structure for TJ.
Meaning, those who are still active will have to think about how much time and effort they want to put into the administration of the TJ server (be it as admin, as an actively recruiting recruiter, as forum-handler or other).
Those who are atm in charge of decisions will have to talk with others and pick out those people who think of themselves as motivated enough to do administrative tasks, and are trustworthy/capable enough of the job they would like to take.
Also, a new supreme will have to be chosen who dedicates himself to being active and leading the server to a successfull future.
I would be glad if all of the currently active TJ-members could take part in this discussion, for it is a thread that will decide about the path TJ is going to choose.
Take your time people, think about the stuff mentioned twice or more times, make your decisions, get an opinion about things.
We do not need to hurry. There are no urgent matters, and most of the active members visit forums like max. once a week.
We will not decide anything for the next like 7 days, so people have enough time to read this thread, discuss things and maybe even change will give his voice into this issue.

True words, even though it is somewhat sad that Change is apparently willingly not doing what he is supposed to do.

That's the only thing i cannot agree with completely. There were server-related issues, problems and requests that i talked about, first with Change and later with Ligustah who then took a look at them.

I don't think that Change should be demoted,just that a new supreme should be selected.
My suggestion is - Speed.
Most active,takes care of forum stuff and wants to build a better server.Also,he's a nice and friendly dude.
There aint a better option than Speed(I'm sure Mimi agrees)
He really deserves the spot,and frankly,I hope he gets it.

Well imo speed should be superme because you can see the efforts he puts into this server. I do belive that it is the best choice.

Please dont forget that, even though the title of this thread is "supreme change", the things mentioned in the first post go further than just being about choosing a new supreme. You need a functioning administrative system in order to have a working server
