My new pc - Strax - 09-02-2016 So I have built my own pc which I will get this or next week . So here are specs:-Intel i5 6600K 3.50 GHz -EVGA GTX 770 superclocked 4gb -Intenso 2TB (HDD) -8 GB ram (dual channel) -ASUS B85M-E -750W ATX Iner-Tech Well what do you think? I will have 1366x768 screen and will get another one when I get more money. I will also add 256GB SSD. Do you think that I should add another 8GB of ram in future? RE: My new pc - zombiegaming - 09-02-2016 with the ssd i would put your operating system on it only for faster boot times. :P and with the extra 8gb of ram you will have more than enough for what ever you do. RE: My new pc - toxic - 09-02-2016 have 8gb for quite a time now, never had any problems RE: My new pc - Strax - 09-02-2016 (09-02-2016, 09:53 PM)zombiegaming Wrote: with the ssd i would put your operating system on it only for faster boot times. :P and with the extra 8gb of ram you will have more than enough for what ever you do. Yea I know that :P. Boosted this 5 years old pc's boost time: from 11min to 22 sec RE: My new pc - SpeeD - 10-02-2016 Looks pretty good to me. The only thing i'd be worried about with that setup is bottleneck of the cpu by the gpu which you will probably realize in applications requiring a good gpu performance. And about the 8gb of ram, i would rather go for a 1080p monitor than another 8 gigs of ram since 16 gigs arent really needed unless you are doing RAM heacy stuff. More important is the clock speed of the RAM if you arent in need of more space to work with Well, enough for now, nice system you got there :P Regards, SpeeD' RE: My new pc - zombiegaming - 10-02-2016 i think he has 1080P monitors speed but im not 100% sure. RE: My new pc - SpeeD - 10-02-2016 "I will have 1366x768 screen" I guess thats what he will have when he gets the pc " and will get another one when I get more money." And he wants to buy a better one as soon as he gets enough money SpeeD RE: My new pc - Strax - 10-02-2016 (10-02-2016, 02:02 PM)Speed Wrote: "I will have 1366x768 screen" I guess thats what he will have when he gets the pc Well yes. That's what I meant. Also in the future, when I actually get 2 screens I will probably game on only 1. I will use both for editing. I don't wana get 1080p screen because when you record a game you lose few fps. And when you have 1366x768 you have a few more fps. So basicly in the end it will work like on 1080p on a 1366x768 screen when recording. P.S.: I may need another 8gb ram for rendering, but I'm not sure. GTX 770 is nice card and that i5 isnt bad either! RE: My new pc - Thrasher - 11-02-2016 you should get a 2 terabyte hard drive, then you have all the hard drive space you could ever want for up to 3 years |
