New TWC Menu - Mimus - 03-01-2016
Heya,
after a lot of research and even more waiting we came up with the only acceptable soltion for now concerning the TWC Menu.
As we said before, the current menu most of you will have in their ETmain folder is named something like ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.pk3 (a lot more ~ though). Because the game always takes the highest "worthy" letter to load it, and ~ is more or less the one with the most value, and because we already kinda reached the end of how many letters we can put in a file name, we can not make a new, more worthy version of our menu.
What we can do though is to show you how you can delete your current menu versions, so that the next time you get in the server you will download the new TWC menu.
The easiest way would be to just delete all the pk3-files in your ETs etmain folder except for pak0, pak1, pak2 and mp_bin.
However that would also delete the maps you downloaded, and if you do not want to download them all again you can go search for the menu-pk3s. One definitely is the one with the lots of ~, but there might also be some pk3-files called twc-menu, tcm, and so on. In general everything with menu in it and most files with a lot of ~ tend to be menu-files.
If you are uncertain if the thing you want to delete is a map or not, you can just change the name of the file from pk3 to zip, open it with e.g. winrar, and take a look inside. If you see things like "server_sniper.cfg", "punkbuster_on.cfg", twc_site4.cfg", folders named "scripts" or "ui" you can be pretty certain it is one of our former menus, or the menu of another clan.
After checking you can just rename the zip to pk3 again.

there is a character more "powerful" than "~" actually, it displays as a blank square and it's actually the "<-" symbol that you get in notepad when you press ctrl+backspace
could be used to overwrite our old menu eventually ^^ i just renamed the file like that and it works

Indeed, but ETLegacy do not load pk3 files with that character in the filename, so imo it may not be the best idea.

We discussed using that particular character quite a long time ago already, but I chose not to use it, because it's not supposed to be used in file names (that is probably why etl refuses to load it) and may not work for everybody/everything.
The whole ~ in file names has been annoying me ever since I took over the job of maintaining the servers, as it was a very bad idea to use them like this in the first place. That is why we're going to bite the bullet now so we can use sane file names in future.

But I have access to new menu only in the principal page of game (above of play online) not in servers for example in no download. I do something wrong or is it normal?

That is normal, it needs to be scripted in the server cfg I think. Dominator did for HS and most other servers already though.

Since ETNam's pak name is z_mp_etnam_0.1.0.pk3 ,it is normal that the new menu doesn't load.
The new menu should be named like z_twcmenu.pk3 or something on Vietnam, to be loaded after the mod pak.

The menus on ND etc. should work fine once the server restarts.
The nam pack you refer to isnt a menu-pack so it doesnt matter that the weight of that pk3 is higher than the one of the twc menu.
