Hello. I have a suggestion. Why not add some new maps to the server. Its getting so casual already. Add like Beach Invasion 1.1, northpole, clyder, venice just something. I would think other would agree to keeping server refresh.

Mate, this is No Download. That means we would like to make our guests not to download a lot of files when they connect to the server. I agree with removing Pirates and adding something new. But adding 4 new maps is a bad idea.

In my opinion, No Download would be all standard maps, but we allready have a few downloadable maps, so why not add a few more and watch how people react, when the reaction is bad, we can allways change them back.
Please think about it cos its getting a bit boring
And we can allways do a POLL on wich map to choose

it's a bad idea to change and see how they react and change again. cuz if there is something people hate more than anything else it downloading again. So when you change a lot and back again it is downloading other maps again in short period and that is what people hate. Better to really ask around and start a poll.

Well guys,
First of all we keep the 6 standard maps, their is no discussion about this.
We ain't gonna add more maps in the future, then the 2 downloadable maps we have atm.
Off course it is an option to replace either pirates or marakech to a different map, but this have to be discussed.

I kinda like the idea of adding a new map. We can always adapt the maplist to play some maps more then others. (we have that already)
Maybe just add some cool new maps only in the weekend to see how the reactions are.
We where quite sceptical about adding Marrakesh and Pirates, but I think it turned out pretty good. Of course some like maps you don't like, but in general it turned out pretty cool.
Or every Thursday night we try a different map. Make it an event or so.
Just brainstorming here.

Please remember that with adding another map, there comes more change than just putting another one in the ftp.
People have to dl it, ofc. People have to like it, and if they dont they might leave and not come back. Also, quite a lot of guests have already been confused about this NOdownload + 2 thing.
But what I am concerned about way more is that lots of the ND admins (aswell as other admins and members) were not up to date with the spawnkill/wj etc. areas for a long time - some dont know about the full sk areas even today.
So when u add yet another new map, the SK areas have first to be decided upon, marked (in the rules section) AND be learned by all the people. Now put that onto this "1 new map every week" or any other frequently changing mapcycle, and you will most likely soon have a server full of ppl not knowing about sk areas.

we could implement it in the ingame map. You need to edit the pk3 first. Moanraker sugested it and could do it but I havent seen him in a while.
Btw SL area's are always a point of discussion no matter what map or admin. But i get your point. New maps are difficult to adjust for admins. But that doesn't mean we should do it. Again, the maps Marrakesh and Pirates are quit a success imo

I think the 6 Standart maps are a must have no download.
but i think also we should have 1 or 2 new maps.
i said at last discussion for this theme...let's change this maps every 2 months.

I've never been a big fan of making changes in ND, if someone wants to play in other maps BG is open for everyone
