Hi there,
the other day I saw Fabius' thread about League of Legends, so I thought I'd start one for DotA as well.
I think it'd be a lot of fun to have some inhouse games, even if you guys have never played a single minute of DotA before (which would probably make things even more entertaining for all people involved, assuming it's 10 players, who are completely new to the game). We could even broadcast the game on twitch for people to watch.
While I certainly would enjoy playing with or against people here, I'd like to think that it's probably an unfair matchup, unless there are more try-hards like me around here :P
So I would offer coaching a team/player each time, or just generally comment on the game and try to explain what's going on.
If you're interested, just post here and/or start downloading the game, it's free on Steam. Would be cool if we could gather 10 people to get going

Awesome, let's see if we can get some more people interested. Also feel free to invite friends.
I think it's more fun if we can play inhouse (5 vs 5), so we don't need to face public matchmaking.
As for a date/time, I won't be home this weekend, but we could do it throughout the week or during next weekend.

Mmm I have an intel core i5, 6 GB RAM and a great GPU but the game lag
