Unable to go to Vietnam (archived by Mimus) - Axel - 27-07-2014
I keep getting this error when I am trying to go in vietnam , and I was unable to download supply_desert and daybreak

I was in the server when the siwa map ended.
Moreover I had visitted the server on butcher's bday and I was using the same cfg but I was able to play and download maps/mode.

Lol i think that you do Run as administrator if you dont then change ET settings to run as administrator whenever you open it , then it should download

My et always runs at administrator , well i even tried right click run as adm. , still didnt work
Well uhm...I downloaded caen2 map from allstars and then wentvietnam but still I am unable to go there.
btw i think download link for vietnam is the old ip of server cuz it showed : 85. blabnlabla/wolet/etmain/caen2
but in allstars it showed : servers.twcclan.org/allstars/caen2

I regret you are havin such difficulties. Check these all out.
So I suggest you making the following settings in mod CFG files, in etnam for all cases. There may be even problems with connecting to larger maps, if you use standard ET settings.
There's also the possibility to change the hunkmegs and soundmegs value in your ET config. To do this you need to open the etconfig.cfg file in etmain, also in the profile folder inside etmain and inside the profile folder of the Mod you wanna play, e.g. Jaymod, ETNAM...
In this 3 locations open the etconfig file, browse to the entry and replace current values with the ones below (my comfortable proposal):
com_hunkmegs 256
com_soundmegs 128
com_zonemegs 128
It should be solved as several others have similar problem like Kerny.
If we don't succeed then higher level tech support should be requested :P.

and problem fixed, you cant join NAM cause you are missing that pk3 simple as thatThe problem lays in the redirect, NAM is using an very old redirect of TWC from few years back. Butch has to edit this one, i dont know which site it is now but he should ask moanraker or ligustah.
