Hey guys,
before I start to write the actual post, I'm sorry if the category isn't appropriate.
Today while I was playing on no download happened to me a strange thing.
I was playing Siwa Oasis and I was in tunnel and I was soldier with MG 42.
I was lying to use the weapon and near me there was a dead body of my teammate (he was medic, remember this). Suddenly was appeared the icon of the uniform (yes, the icon that appears when you are cover ops and when you can take the uniform of enemy). But I was a soldier and near me there wasn't an enemy but my died teammate. I don't know why, I press F, the bar loaded and I became medic with MP 40. I had medkit but I have only MP 40 without second weapon. I pressed L and the limbo menu say me that I was medic but the "slot" of weapon was black and there wasn't a weapon. When I die I return to be soldier with MG 42.
Is it a bug or a secret of jaymod? I'm only curious :P

Fab, that's normal: on most servers/mods team members can take teammates' uniform, or at least a setting allows it. I suppose it is enabled in Nam as well.

Also other times on jaymod the same thing happened to me but the bar didn't load.

yea and its the most useful ting in ET. And its often forgotten. I often rambo medic behind an engi and when he does and I cant revive him, I heal myself and take his suit(class) and plant dyna.

Yeah Djuki and Butch are right Fabi - this thing is also many times used, becouse of bugs. Try to be engi, change into medic and you will have 10 nades! There are a lot of bugs about it!

euh..
this class switch aint a bug. Its build in!
btw the engi to medic switch in combination with the nades I never heard be4 an ill test it out.

My bad, yes, it's build in.
I discovered also that, when you are transfering from engi to medic, your next class has got also some molov's but I am not sure..

I did a little research: it is called "class stealing" in Jaymod.
I'm afraid it is not available in Nam mod.

yes fab, you can switch classes in jaymod if its allowed, just go to a dead medic or smth, and switch classes to medic

Class stealing is when you steal their clothes while being alive
.But yea its a setting in jaymod very normal.
Kinda usefull as tactic when at defending team and engi died and tapped out but body isnt gibbed, then you can take his suit and attempt to defuse the dynamite
