Gun o' wiki #4 - FG42 - Duka - 30-03-2014 For Gaia Hi guys and welcome in fourth episode of Gun o' wiki! Today I will write about FG42 gun. This gun was used by Axis paratroopers. But very bad point of that weapon was, that jumping with parachute and FG42 was impossibru. It was throwing from planes in boxes, so paratroopers could take it later. FG42 was used in the beginnings of WWII. The full name of FG42 is: Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 Damn, can anybody spell that? In 1994 special german scientists of HWA took a look of this weapon. Unfortunately, their opinion about FG42 was very bad. They said, that: - Gun is too fast - Gun is too loud - Gun is too unstable - it can broke easily FG42 was very innacurate - eginners were trying to make it more accurate. In next versions, they added scope and bipod. And now.... How to hold FG42! 1. You can put here hand, if you have got special millitary gloves 2. Here, you can put hand without gloves The end for that weapon has come, when Axis paratroopers were pissed off that all bad points, so they talk with HWA. HWA said, that they will stop order FG42 and focus on MP43. Hitler also agreed with that, so FG42 was "executed" and never seen later on battlefield. FG42 was good weapon - yes, of course, it has got a lot of bad points, but scientists and famous engineers were trying to upgrade it, to "cover" these bad points. Some questions? Pff, just ask!
