Hi I was playing ET today and I started getting horrible frame rate and now I only get 2-4 fps? Anyone know what the problem could be? I used to play with a steady 125fps, now I don't know whats happened :/

You checked task manager? Maybe there is a program that might use alot of cpu since ET is a more cpu then gpu related.
If yes try to kill it, if its a service of net frameworks optimization you can look google for a tutorial for to fix that the service doesnt use alot of cpu. Common problem of windows 7.
If you dont find any program or service that is using alot of cpu. You can try to exec default settings and see if u regain fps.
If that doesn't work try to backup etkey deinstall ET and reinstall it again.

Do you use laptop or PC? I used to have a laptop which overheated fast. The overheating caused an initial graphics crash and my fps dropped from 30 to 15 until I rebooted my computer.

do you have this in every mod?
did you try other games?
did you try reinstalling ET?

If nothing else works, I'd say try fiddling with the graphic card driver's configuration a bit.

Chuck - I tried what you said and I think it was just the cfg i was testing out i used default and everything was fine.
blacknex - I use a PC and I don't think it was the graphics card cause I tried minecraft after i had 125 fps there.
Sky - It was like that in every mod but i think it was just my cfg and it was just ET that done this.

Then u need to change that cfg, maybe it has settings that ur pc can't handle, can also be 2 high resolution then ur fps will drop drastic
