Banned from NoD server (archived by Chris) - Pun!sheR - 16-08-2013
Hey guys,
I've the problem, that I can't connect to the NoD server anymore.
I was playing and then i went offline for dinner (using console /quit).
After dinner I wanted to come online again, but it says connection refused.
There is no reason for the ban and there is no admin's name.
Is this a problem with the GUID stealing thing i was reading about, that i need to verify my IP?

Again a ban without anyone else even checking the demos before?
Come on, is it really so hard to understand? It should always be: record the demo -> ask for opinions about it (especially when it's supposed to be wallhack, because it's always hard to detect for 100%) -> if they all agree ban, if not, no ban!
Don't just ban after making the demo and then let other people check it. I mean, how would you feel if someone banned you for cheating, you didn't cheat and complain about it, and then you have to wait to get unbanned until they checked the demos to find out that there is nothing suspicious in it...
I hope I missunderstood and it's not like I wrote above.

This is not supposed to happen. Has the demo been uploaded before the ban was made?
We have a rule that quite clearly states that no ban is to be made for wallhacking without other people checking and approving the demo.

This happens when someone bans a good player for wh while he uses Headset, as far i remember there has been a post about him in Ban proof but it didnt get approved. and is it so hard to post a demo beforr banning?!
