New Tryout system No Download! (archived by Chris) - Joris - 22-06-2013
Hello fellow TWC Members,
Recently (yesterday) we launched an experiment for a new tryout system for No Download! It's not 3500xp anymore and you need to get 7/4. We've been discussing it a lot lately, and we finally came to a conclusion. Maybe some of you already seen the Application Format post and the new subforum. It's step 1 of our new system. Summary of our Tryout system:
- If a person wants to join, they have to make an application on forums. (Even if they don't meet the 5k EXP Requirement)
- They can put an [R] infront of their name, and Recruiters will check if they fit in the TWC team.
- If they do, they get a tryout of 7/4. (if they have 5k EXP)
- If not, the Recruiter can either extend the time to watch him/her or refuse the tryout.
It will be a bit hard in the beginning, but will be testing this for 2 months! (21-6-2013 / 21-8-2013) We will see how this develops, if it works out perfectly, we are probably gonna implent it in the other servers!

You might have forgotten to mention but what is the regular time someone will be watched at? (without the potential extra time) I assume a week or so? If you want some more info to the accept/deny thing ask Lig. If I'm not mistaking he would look into it today

For example,
Player X has 1500 exp. He wants to join, puts an [R] infront of his name and makes an application. We know he wants to join, but he first needs to get 5k exp. If we are happy with him in that 3500xp he still had to gain, we can let him do the tryout. If recruiters aren't sure yet, they will tell Player X in the thread of in-game that they still want to see a bit more of them.
Player B has 5000+ exp. He wants to join, he puts an [R] infront of his name and makes an application. Recruiters might already know this guy, and are very happy with him, and let him do the tryout. They are not sure yet, they can check him out as long as they want. (With telling him ofcourse). He's done serious rulebreaking, they can deny them. It's all on the Recruiters+.

Joris is a co-supreme, he can't tell what's gonna happen in other servers. :P
But I suggested this 1 year ago and nobody did something with it, so yeah we'd rather do this.

Joris is a co-supreme, he can't tell what's gonna happen in other servers. :P

Topics die pretty quickly here. That's why I kept revitalising it and contact every supreme to make this happen. But yeah, you are also not in the position to make descisions about stuff like this. So I'm, and I think more ND members are happy this happened. :P

Not happening for Tekkit, as it isn't possible to rename yourself.
And there is no XP levels in Tekkit.
And I'm going to agree with Imma here, why should it be implemented in other servers?

umm dont u think that there are much ppl which dont speak english and we are recruiting them?so here is 1 reason why
