Job questions *_* - Mimus - 20-12-2012 Hya cuties, as you might now im studying atm and i would really need your help for a very important presentation. Its about "male" and "female" jobs, like men are always e.g. trucker (hehe daddy ) and women teachers or sth.I would ask you, if you wanna help me :P, to post if YOU work as sth. the job and why you decided to work as...whatever^^ Also, it would be sooooooo very cool if you could ask your parents, friends, uncles....whoever...whats their job and why they do it. Moreover, I'd be very happy if you can manage to tell me which job they learned (if they do now another job than the one they used to do). I hope you are willing to help me with that ![]() Mimi PS: I'll give you COOKIES for your answers muahhahaha
RE: Job questions *_* - Rote - 20-12-2012 Dad: Transport company DHL's Manager/chief in this city :P Dont know much about it, just leading and taking care of employees and transports etc. Me: Electronics installer / telecommunication installer and programmer. Jobs I do: Install and repair service for electronic machines like computers and computer parts, modems, speakers, amplifiers, mobiles and different kind of devices with circuits. Mostly improper/repairing with new components like resistors, capacitors, diodes, switches, etc. etc. and also cooling systems for them (Also programming + configuration for finishing part like modems to new use) EDIT: Added my part EDIT 2: Maybe hes doing it for money haha, and its the work he studied for, well... after many other workplaces like bank and project designer for companies he found hes way to DHL manager, sometimes its very stressing time but someone must lead the way in there... Many years of experience in different jobs will bring you to the top. :P RE: Job questions *_* - Surma - 20-12-2012 I'm going to be electrician. Nuff said. I'm not sure why I'm going to be one, but when I cook, I enjoy creating things. You can do whatever you like, make it taste however you like... I don't really have a lot of experiences in cooking, but I like it so far (cooking in school is always fun). About my parents, mom wanted to be a reporter, but she got pregnant so all went to ''heaven''. She works in post office now. My sister... Funny story. ![]() At first she went on High school, then she continued on languages (macedonian, french) university (or how to call it), now she is in 2nd class on photographic university. Who knows where she will work. :P Her boyfriend, however is now electrical engineer (5 years of study) and he works in some electric company. They are both 25 years old. I hope that helped. RE: Job questions *_* - Mimus - 20-12-2012 Oh cool already so many answers ![]() thanksieeee @ rote: you know why your father is doing this job? @cow: gleiches gilt für dich :P vor allem dein opa interessiert mich. steinmetz ist ja schon sehr "männlich". Und bei deinen Eltern scheint es genau umgekerht zu sein. wollten die mal was anderes machen, hatten ne andere ausbildung oder war ihnen schon immer klar dass sie diesen beruf so toll finden?^^ @zone: same, why does the your sisters boyfriend want to be engineer? what made him think thats "his" job?
RE: Job questions *_* - ZonElax - 20-12-2012 I don't know. Will ask him if I won't forget. RE: Job questions *_* - Destroy666 - 21-12-2012 (20-12-2012, 10:06 PM)Mimus Wrote: and women teachers That's a quite outdated stereotype, 50% of my teachers in high school were men. Only in lower schools, especially kindergardens, there are many more women. Also 3 out of 4 of my family members that are/were teachers are men. RE: Job questions *_* - Teleport - 21-12-2012 Here is mine. Dad-> He is currently the chief executive of the Hong Kong section of Bank of India ( the bank he works in now ). Hes doing the job because he studied for it. He also passed law school, so he is also a certified lawyer. Mom-> She used to teach accounting and business related stuff in university, however after my older brother was born, she quit the job. Older Brother-> Hes currently studying Computer Science. Hes doing it because he has a good interest for it. Me-> I wish to be an astrophysicist. The reason is that I've always been fascinated by the things present in our universe. I always wanted to explore further into it, and I guess that whys I want to be an astrophysicist. Hope it helps.
