RE: Post Moderation - Mimus - 18-03-2017 Alright, let me answer to some of the points that have been brought up. I feel like not all of you seem to have noticed the actions we set in charge even before this post. We basically have 3 main spots to cover if we want to prevent people from throwing an inappropriate amount of shit at each other: Ingame, Teamspeak and Forum. Because we literally can not look through the chatlogs every day for all the things that might have been said, we told you all quite some time ago already that, in order for us to take action, we need proof. Screenshots, demos, whatever. Even a time in the chatlog would do it so we could look it up for you. Every time we got proof, we indeed did something. Remember this? http://board.twcclan.org/thread-7272.html Its still in charge. Unfortunately it only covers the Ingame and Teamspeak spots, and thats why we came up with the Post-Moderation (and no hani, thats not a thing we quickly thought out because of some post in the shoutbox, we planned it and discussed it for quite some time already to be sure it would work the way we intend it to work). I will not make a huge reply to that nonsense about Sky being not objective, a bad MST or anything else. Our decision to choose him had a lot of thinking behind it and was not something we did light-hearted. We did talk to a lot of people about who would be the next MST and Sky was overall agreed to be the right choice. I am especially hurt by the accusation of him being not objective enough. Do you think any of you would be more objective? I severly doubt it. Nobody is completely objective, but I dare say that the MSTs are the most usually when it comes to whole clan related things. Also, lets talk clear. As unpleasant as it might be, I do know that you all seem to hate the BG people atm and are very certain they are the core of the problem and should be punished harder and kicked out. However, I want to ask you, where do you draw the line? We can not kick everyone who is throwing shit, because that would mean we kicked the BG people, and basically whole HS, plus some more people who got into it, and maybe even banned some guests and clanfriends who couldnt keep their cool. So, I hope you see that this would reduce us to about half our clansize and, more important, would kick out some actually normally really nice people. Now, how else should we deal with people? Should I go through the logs and set 2 people against each other, and the one who did more bad things gets kicked and the other stays? Should we make it tournament style to see who in the end can stay member? It is very hard to find a default guideline as to when we kick people for being mean. Mean in general, or do we leave it out when they talk with friends? Mean only on their server or also on others, or do we even add forum and ts? Do we go as far as to say: people, you are not allowed to write mean things on facebook about the others, or on whatsapp? That is why, for the sake of not having to kick out 50% of the clan including most of you who answered in this post right here, we can not start kicking everyone for what they did. However, as I wrote above, we do take serious action based on their behaviour ingame since the moment we wrote that post which is linked in the link i posted above, because whoever did not get that last call to change and keep the insults inside oneself, does not deserve better than being called out for it and removed from the servers. The forum post moderation is another step into removing people who step over boundaries from talking to us at all, without having to retroactively ban most of you all (again, about 50% of the clan) from posting things on forum. The action you all seem to wish for, meaning just kicking out all these mean and oh so bad BG members, is not possible without YOU being punished aswell. It would have been possible if you would not have decided to, from the beginning of this whole drama, throw shit back at them. But since youre not innocent in this whole situation we can not overlook that. I hope you understand that we do see some people do "more mean things" than others. However, everyone who does bad should be punished, right? And I think it would be unfair to kick out all of you because of things you said in the past months, since I very well know some things have been said in the heat of the moment because you might have been very pissed once. I would not want to punish you severaly for that. That is why you all got that final wakeup call for ingame behaviour, and now with this thread for forum behaviour. tl;dr: Everyone gets punished ingame and on TS and on forum, we just need proof, especially for ingame stuff, because we are not omniscient thus can not magically hear a bell ring if someone says something mean. RE: Post Moderation - Cross - 18-03-2017 Mimus, I get what you are saying, i really do but I do not belive it will change anything, for me you are trying, yet again, clean everything under the carpet trying to postpone inevitable crash inside TWC if nothing will be done. IMO what you trying to do with this topic will be for nothing. RE: Post Moderation - HamsteR! - 18-03-2017 Quote:We can not kick everyone who is throwing shit, because that would mean we kicked the BG people, and basically whole HS, plus some more people Excuse me, whole HS? Lol, what wrong I or my members did last one-two weeks? You wrote something about proofes so I willingly check it if you have any. Or just you have your own opinion about HS and no matter what we did not do it and so will the bad guys. It is a little unfair and it proves that you really don't know what is going on in servers. Sorry, but it is true. RE: Post Moderation - Mimus - 18-03-2017 I have not been referring to the last 1-2 weeks, but to since the drama started. So we are talking about two diffrent things. When first drama started it was long a go and I do not deny HS side wasn't without falt. But we not come to other servers to ruin a game, to spamming or... recruiting members to HS in other servers like... hmm... others. It is totally diffrent. And you know what? After this drama end without consequences there was calm until now. Nobody start this shit from HS, some of members who have too much time looking drama because they are feeling impunity. And it is sad that some of members trying to build more active servers but someone else from this same clan trying to destroy it. End this is a difference. A few months a go was two group fighting each other, now it one group looking for dramas. RE: Post Moderation - Mimus - 18-03-2017 That is exactly what I have been saying in the second to last reply. We do not want to kick people for the things they said months ago, because it would mean we kick a lot of you. We do however take serious action since that post (linked in the link i posted in the reply) concerning ingame behaviour. This thread right here about the post-moderation is an addition to that extending the punishments to the forum-behaviour. I explained it before. We can not see all that is happening. If you encounter something inappropriate, take screenshots or demos. Proof. PM. Punishment. Easy as that. I dislike having to turn to handling the situation like that (making people watch each other and collect screenshots etc.), but since we are apparently surrouned by people who are not able to act like their age would make you assume they should, we have no other way than that. RE: Post Moderation - Fox - 18-03-2017 MST's decisions are necessary, take it or leave it. If it's your day to get thrown out, be thankfull towards yourself. RE: Post Moderation - HamsteR! - 18-03-2017 Quote:Proof. PM. Punishment. I hope that with this last part of sentense on top there will be no problem anymore and all mst will be neutral and not favored any members. This is my last post here, good luck then. RE: Post Moderation - The Master - 18-03-2017 hm some1 has not understand what i sayd above, so i make it abit easyer to read (again this is not ment to insult). where ever there is drama bg is involved no matter with who it is. havent seen a none bg drama for months. this does point fingers at one way. ofc where ever there is drama there is another side than bg aswell but thats not even to compair. if you do feel like to compairing i would not feel bad if i would get kicked out aslong as you also kick them out to clean up this community and make it a better place again for the people here or the people who will come. RE: Post Moderation - Storch - 18-03-2017 Sorry but for me this is only fighting the symptons, rather than the actual cause of all the 'bad words' and all the drama. That entire current situation with Beginners/PSA will not be changed by censoring what is being said. And with this I don't mean to offend BG people again, but even you have to agree that something of the whole drama has to be related to BG. There should be some kind of reform regarding PSA for instance. Make it like only 2-3 members can be from the same server. The way it is now BG is isolating itself from all the rest by building up almost the entire PSA team. |
