You can add non steam games yes. I just added €5 to my account, not gonna use it tho

it doesn't because it's OpenGL.
many clients don't support ET regardless

Yes, the downside is that you do need to move 5€ to your steam for most of the functionality to work, but for now - i suggest migrating to steam until something better is found.

Side note: Steam In-game overlay has some problems with Windows UAC if you have it installed in C:/../Program Files/...
I figured out an easy way to make it work (mine was already installed on a different HDD so I didnt have this problem) and I will post a tutorial here tmrw.
