One does not simply come to forums with that past and apologize. I have always appreciated people who come here after few months/years just to apologize.
They can admit their mistakes and just say "I'm sorry."
Didn't know you well, but only reading your thread trough, I'd say you deserve another chance, though it's not up to me.

Well, I can see true honesty in what you wrote down.
Maybe you did mistakes, but it's human, and I think you deserve another chance..
I've always liked you as a guy, even if I don't know you that much, so that's why I just think you deserve this
