What about implementing an automation of putting inactive players spec? Damn annyoing when several players sudenly suspend playing and forget to go spec. I hear all day requests of guests to put such players spec.
I time of inactivity of 60-120 sec may be fine, I use 90 seconds on Nam and it has been working well.
I suggest the sam the other serves as well, just not posted yet on HS and BG.

Last I heard that option was not possible on jaymod.

People like this simple mod. Silent or Nitmod would only scare them away I think. Might be one of the reasons why ND has always been more crowded than our other servers. And this spectator thing alone surely is not a good reason to change the entire mod.

I will tell you 10 other reasons soon, why change ND jaymod to another. e.g. fine Nitmod.
Still I understand that providing a crowded rather frag server with even many basterds or trolls for the clan might seem more favourable then running a nice server with many exciting tools and balanced teamplay.

Maybe You've point but changing it would affect badly on ND. Mention newbies, people who just like jaymod, which is easy mod, new guys learn fast, just changing it to e.g Nitmod would make -50% of guests not playing on ND. And Jaymod is on ND since '07 afaik.

Well.. it looks like we do have the latter server you describe with our dear Vietnam sever, don't we?
You can do all these nice changes in Vietnam and see how people like it, if you haven't already. But there is no need to try to make another Vietnam or BG server out of ND. We have a vide variety of different mods in TWC and yet most people choose ND. There must be a reason behind that.
