RE: Music topic - Coffee - 02-05-2016

I really liked those songs you recommended, they are all very peaceful and beautifulPrivateering is my favourite of them so far. I heard of Mark Knopfler before and of course already knew his original band Dire Straits, but didn't really listen to his solo stuff yet. I'll definitely discover him some more
I couldn't really think of anything similar to that, except maybe Johnny Cash. But I personally am not such a big fan of him. I could recommend you some more acoustic-based songs though, if you're into that kind of stuff :P
I really like Bob Dylan's first few albums. Some very nice acoustic songs there..
https://vimeo.com/39267368 (sorry for not posting youtube clips, but here in good old germany many songs on youtube are blocked..)
Then Nick Drake. You might as well check out the whole album^^
https://vimeo.com/93488513
And one more song which is pretty recent but also heavily influenced by Dylan
Oh and glad to hear you like that Audioslave song. You might as well check out the song "The Last Remaining Light" then, it's just as good as the other one (imo at least).
Totally missed this post damnit lol. Glad someone bumped it to find it
. I've checked them all. I must admit, I had never really listened to Bob Dylan before. Loved it the most of all the songs you put in ur last post . I looked him up on Spotify and it kept on showing me TONS of albums lol. Crazy amount of new music to fill my day with today when studying I don't know why I never listened to his music before. I guess everyone has heard his name at least once XD. This guitar in the other song sounds nice too, Drake guy :P.The Fault Line song is really good as well! It's not on Spotify
I checked out some other songs, interesting band I'm not such a Cash-fan either hahah. Just this one song, "hurt". Something about it, it's the only song I like by Cash.
Are you familiair with Sufjan Stevens? His music is so original imo. If you are interested, you should check out his album Illinois. He's produced it himself and it's brilliant. Link is down here, hope you like it, it's mesmerizing
. I'm very fond of the first couple songs.I stumbled upon The Eagles while scrolling my Spotifylist and I cannot help but sharing. I think u know most, but for the ppl who don't, here are some Eagles-songs that aren't as 'famous' as Hotel California, but just as great:

Doolin' Dalton/Desperado Reprise

this is SO good, I had it on replay once for an hour :P
The Last Resort :')
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RG-XBz1tjIU
Witchy Woman
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVXqocPAz1k
I could go on, but it's more fun if you discover it all yourself :P I would wanna give one more song from Mark Knopfler tho, this other solo-album has this song called Prairie Wedding on it. I love it

Ok this was more than enough for now XD back to schoolwork

yeah he has more than 20 albums I think and then also tons of live-records... I prefer his first albums, where he plays mostly acoustic songs. Later he is more rocky.. Not bad either :P I'm far from having listened to all of his album though I also like his lyrics in most songs About that band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Yeah it's a shame that they put all of their albums on spotify except their (imo) best one
Here is another one from that album:
lol, "Hurt" is actually the only song I like by Cash too
It's not even his own song however. He covered a band called Nine Inch Nails. Though, even they said later that Cash made a way better version out of their song Thanks for that album of Sufjan Stevens! Haven't heard much of him before. "Original" describes him pretty well I think^^ It's really nice music and I also like the first songs. Will surely check him out some more.
Also thanks for the Eagles songs. Didn't listen to all of them yet, but I liked the first one really much! I'll check out the other album of Mark Knopfler too when I have more time. Pretty busy with university atm..
Oh and I guess with Eagles we already dipped into 60/70's music, so I'll just recommend one other song of that era

RE: Music topic - Coffee - 03-05-2016
Haha, we sure did dip into the 70's! Love it, can we continue this because that song is great
dat beginning sound.. Already in my playlist This one doesn't really have any exciting guitar sounds, but Bruce... Surprisingly different/good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmMI9KEouJs
Bruce Springsteen - Streets of Philadelphia
One of my favs from Bruce.. can listen this alll the time! Enjoy
RE: Music topic - Storch - 04-05-2016
Thats a nice one, really touching... could imagine it pretty well in a movie :P Bruce is another artist I haven't heard much songs of yet though
I see I still have lots of artists to catch up with :PHere 2 more songs from the 70s:
(best listened to with headphones)
