Hi!
I've recently bought a MacBook Pro Retina 15inch. I'm really happy with it so far, cept for the part that im really broke right now. :P
To the point: I've tried to download ET and install it, but it doesn't work. I have got the 2.60d version since that should work.. But it isn't. When I try to run it it crashes immediately.
Now I know there is an option where I can like put Windows on this and run it on there but it's not really something I wish to do. Is there any other way? If not, I still have another laptop so I can play ET after all. But i'd like to play it on my Mac, ofcourse

So. That's the error I get. It just says " Wolfenstein ET has stopped responding".
Ill put the specifications of the Mac here as well, if that's of any use.

I tried it but bad luck
. It wont let me maken a .cfg file. I can't copy and edit one either. Whenever I receive a .cfg file from someone else it automatically makes it a .txt file, like autoexec.cfg.txt (removing the last part doesn't work). When I open one it opens in Apple's terminal (in which i apparently can delete stuff but not add? Idk)Does it just need a .cfg? Is that it? How do I edit .cfg files?
No screenies this time, can make if needed. Hope you can help out :-)

I understand the game works only you can't get the cfg to work?
I have no experience with Mac and ET. But did some googleing. hope it has the solution for you m8.

So I'm jst gonna revive this..
Sky gave me a cool link which showed me Winebottler. I tried it, and I can actually connect and play without getting bugged and crashing when being shot or trying to shoot. Yay! But theres a problem with ND..
I downloaded it, ran ET wolfenstein 2.60d Windows version via Winebottler and it went all fine untill I tried to connect. It banned me instantly with a username I had never seen before saying "cheater". I tried to see what happened when I take my own ETKey and CFG and whatnot. Don't know if it works, I'm not an expert with such things, but it kept me banned. Toma unbanned me on this ID, but it banned me again instantly with the same username that I haven't seen/typed before. "GUAWAR",
However, I can connect to HS (and play normally) and even to BG, which is weird... Anyone has any tips or has experience with this? I'm pretty far now with playing ET on my mac, just this ban being in the way from finally being able to play with normal FPS :') lol.

Have you tried getting a new etkey?
It is possible the etkey is by coincedence the same as a previously banned player named "GUAWAR".
Maybe Toma can try looking in banlist for a guy named like that?
It would ban you if that was the case.

Hm, I have put in my own ET key and with that it failed as well, but only in ND. I logged onto HS with my current EXP and all that.. So a new ET key would be teh same right? :3

I think it's because your physical adress (Mac a dress) is 00:00:00:00 , and jaymod does ban based on Mac adress, it's possible to change your Mac adress pretty easily, maybe I'm wrong you should !fin yourself on HS to see what your Mac is
