ET freezes after 3 maps (archived by NightFall)

so. i dont know what to do on this problem.


problem: on ND when i play like 3 maps in a row (sometimes 2) my ET freezes (not loading next map but console works) i dunno whats causing this.

I have tried to open console and type /reconnect but it wont let me join back (says awaiting gamestate..)

i works only if i quit the game and come back but then the problem starts over ( after 3 maps then Freeze)

I have installed my ET to programfiles (x86) to my main drive C:

i have these programs usually running in background: skype,steam,Logitech gaming mouse,rivatuner,Msi afterburner

my os is win10 64bit

i have checked "run in compatibility mode win xp sp3 & run as administrator"

i have not done any hardware changes to my computer.

my computer specs:

Processor: AMD FX8370 8-core (4,0GHZ)
GPU: AMD r9 390 (i love this gpu<3)
RAM: 8GB Kingston Hyperx (dont remember speeds)
OS: win10 64bit

i use custom cfg what ive made. only thing what ive changed there is r_displayrefresh "144" since i have 144hz monitor. ( i dont think this may affect)

this problem aint so big. i can live with it but im worried because my ET has worked flawlessly before..

i hope someone will be more expert and solve this problem.

EDIT: the problem dont exist on other servers & mods what ive played. once at etpro.

EDIT#2: the console flickers on bottom of the area if i open&close it

Same here, just not like after a certain amount of maps I think.. Just happens every now and then lol :P

Yup same here, sometimes it happends sometimes it doesn't.
No real idea what it causes. But like you said restart fixes it.

i might have solution to this.

playing with et:legacy client dont freeze my ET after 3 maps have passed. im not sure though but i can now play ET without a problem

i still don't know the difference between et:legacy and ET itself. how do i know which client i'm using and which one is better?

Too much typing to explain, and I only know basics too xD. Maybe you can read it urselfs here :P

You could try to clean your etmain and jaymod folder from unnecessary .pk3 's. This problem occurs sometimes for me when i have to many .pk3 in etmain.
